It is soon is the start of my annual, weeks trip to Cornwall. The place I stay is in the middle of a large area of woodland so the plan is to spend some time doing some woodland photos and macro I was planning to make one of the JC Diffusers (DIY copy of AK or CygnusTech type hood diffusers) but none of the bits arrived on time so this morning was a quick trawl on google for something I could make with what I had in the house and would fit my setup of an Olympus OMD EM1 60mm Olympus macro and a Godox TT350o flash. Well it didn’t take long to find a plan on the Emilie Talpin YouTube channel.
4 simple cutout foam shapes lined with tin foil for light reflection took about 30 minutes.
Stick it all together with tape a sheet of kitchen towel as a diffuser panel very another 20 minutes and were good to go.
There you have it Hivers under an hour and about a quid in bits for a diffuser box it doesn’t get more quick and dirty than that and it fits after a little trimming as the Olympus 60mm macro is a bit shorter than the one Emilie was using.
In case your wondering if works Hivers I’ll find out soon and some woodland macro photos will follow in a few days if it stops raining.
