Saludos a todos en la comunidad de #Music, hoy les interpreto con mi trompeta «Jesús Cristo», canción compuesta por Roberto Carlos y su hermano Erasmo Carlos. Esta canción de género Soul y gospel fue un éxito internacional en 1971. Si hay un personaje en la historia de la humanidad que ha sido homenajeado en todos los géneros de la literatura, la música y el arte es Jesucristo. Sus enseñanzas han trascendido por 20 siglos y han dividido la historia, en antes de Cristo y Después de Cristo. Esta canción originalmente fue escrita en portugués y tiene versiones en español e italiano. La letra nos habla de la manera que él puede estar presente en nuestras vidas, él puede estar en las cosas sencillas, como la flor, el cielo, las nubes, el viento e incluso en cada esquina. Parece tan contradictorio para el mundo creer en eso, el mundo está en llamas por la Guerra, las enfermedades y los desastres naturales. Es en las cosas sencillas que podemos descubrir la belleza y el amor de Dios.

Greetings to everyone in the #Music community, today I'm playing "Jesús Cristo" with my trumpet, a song composed by Roberto Carlos and his brother Erasmo Carlos. This Soul and gospel song was an international hit in 1971. If there is a character in the history of humanity who has been honored in all genres of literature, music, and art, it is Jesus Christ. His teachings have transcended for 20 centuries and have divided history, before Christ and after Christ. This song was originally written in Portuguese and has versions in Spanish and Italian. The lyrics speak to us of the way that he can be present in our lives, He can be in simple things, like the flower, the sky, the clouds, the wind, and even in every corner. It seems so contradictory for the world to believe that the world is on fire from War, disease, and natural disasters. It is in the simple things that we can discover the beauty and love of God.

Hace un par de décadas me encontraba estudiando en la escuela de música, era un niño de 12 años que disfrutaba las clases de lenguaje musical y en especial las lecciones de solfeo. No recuerdo de donde salió la iniciativa de formar un coro, pero como me gustaba cantar y lo hacía aún con un registro de voz blanca, me incluyeron en dicha agrupación. Recuerdo como si fuera ayer que cantamos “Jesús, alegría de los hombres”, se trata del décimo movimiento de la cantata N.º 147 de Johann Sebastian Bach. Lo ensayamos varias veces con piano y flauta, pero teníamos que presentarlo en la Abadía Benedictina de San José o Abadía de Güigüe. En la presentación lo hicimos con un Octeto de Acordeones. El reto más grande fue que nos dijeron que no podíamos equivocarnos, porque estábamos en presencia de monjes benedictinos y que algunos tenían conocimientos avanzados de música. Esos maestros de música eran unos malvados, como nos van a decir eso. La presentación fue exitosa, y recibimos el reconocimiento de las personas que nos escucharon. Sin duda, la música góspel influye positivamente en aquellos que la ejecutan.

A couple of decades ago I was studying at the music school, I was a 12-year-old boy who enjoyed musical language classes and especially music theory lessons. I don't remember where the initiative to form a choir came from, but since I liked to sing and still did so with a white voice, they included me in that group. I remember as if it were yesterday that we sang "Jesus, the joy of men", it is the tenth movement of the cantata No. 147 by Johann Sebastian Bach. We rehearsed it several times with piano and flute, but we had to present it at the Benedictine Abbey of San José or Abadía de Güigüe. In the presentation, we did it with an Octet of Accordions. The biggest challenge was being told that we couldn't go wrong because we were in the presence of Benedictine monks and some of them had advanced knowledge of music. Those music teachers were wicked, how can they tell us that? The presentation was successful, and we received recognition from the people who listened to us. Without a doubt, gospel music has a positive influence on those who play it.
