Berlin-based timeless team formed in São Paulo, Brazil, before some of you were even born - 1997. From the darkest favela's basements to the biggest European venues, the real ambassadors of hard techno Ana Luisa Gelfei and David Elie Merlino, during their 25 years long career went through a wild road, establishing themselves as the pioneers and innovators of non-conformist edgy electronic music trends. Globally acclaimed for their finely crafted live sets performed on six players, two mixers and effects, PETDuo have built a speed-freaks fanbase in every corner of this planet. They played at all the biggest and most important events including Loveparade, I Love Techno, Awakenings, TimeWarp, Monegros, Apokalypsa and MAYDAY. This unstoppable marriage with a long list of released EPs and LP is also responsible for two record labels Cause Records and D&A Music, their own recording studio and promotion of many emerging and iconic artists.

PET Duo - Nuclear Shower

Speaking about influences, PET Duo are undoubtedly seen as a constantly setting standards living legends with a huge impact on the next generations of artists who’ve adopted their techniques and solutions for their own purposes. One of the most important achievements is motivating others for exploring new possibilities in their sound, knowing that their music is impossible to replicate. Their legacy in schranz, hard techno and technometal is undeniable.

PET Duo - Time Slice

In addition to their trademark activity, Ana Luiza Gelfei & David Merlino have founded few side projects, including Resistohr and Agents Of Change together with O.B.I. - another German legend of Industrial Techno / Hard Techno / Schranz with 20 years experience on the scene. You can also find productions and solo performances of Ana Gelfei as Missbehaviour and David Merlino as Robotiko but their project PET Duo is by far the most recognizable creation, magnum opus of the whole game. Friday 08.04.2022 they are coming to Bristol, UK for the another huge EXPEL YOUR DEMONS NIGHT. Together with another dinosaur of the 90s, legendary Bad Boy Pete , well known Johnny Piras and TORRE - the big boss and mastermind of the whole EXPEL YOUR DEMONS, they will make sure the night is as violent as possible. This gig is not for the soft kids, but for the rest of the freaks it's an absolute must. Definitely one of the April's heaviest events in the whole UK. Be Brave Come And Rave.

thanks guys, as always!

Wow, they are still around? Must say, I'll probably can make that statement for many artists since the last few years am not been well connected with the dance scene anymore. Soon, I hope I'll plunge into the wonderful world of techno again. This afternoon I'll have a kinda dry-run at the only constant festival in Amsterdam, as of a few weekends ago, every weekend this little festival is open. I expect more House music than Techno, shall start slow :) No Pet Duo this afternoon, that's for sure :)

as i remember, Amsterdam can be seen as a permanent 24/7 never-ending festival :) I hope you enjoyed it. Is it the one you publish your newest article? With Deniro and Rachmand?

my brain is very slow on sundays... I just realized that in your article you talk about Basis. Its amazing club in Utrecht. I love that place.

Hahaha maybe Amsterdam is the 24/7 never-ending dancing city, though Mondays till Wednesdays is not so much going on.
The article you referred to was another dry run, not the one I've been to last Saturday. The Deniro/Rachmad thingy was in a small club and for sure Techno. Last Saturday it started way too slow and not so much energy to it, but build up to kinda ok-ish techno. It was our first generation Dutch DJ Dimitri going for a 10-hour set. With little chair and all he was creating his story from A to Z. Started at C and left when he came to kinda like R or S 🌻
