These days I decided to make boiled pretzels for my family and I will tell you how I did it.
The ingredients are simple:
flour - 1 kg
Yeast -1 cube
500 ml warm water
1 tablespoon sugar
3 tablespoons salt
2 teaspoons oil
First I prepared the yeast by putting it in 500 ml warm water, along with a tablespoon of sugar and a tablespoon of flour. I let it swell.
In a large bowl, I mix the flour and salt and add the thickened yeast. I kneaded until I got a smooth dough. I covered it with a towel and let it to rise for about 30 minutes.
From the risen dough, I formed pretzels, which I spread with oil.
I put them in a pot of boiling water, to which I had added two tablespoons of sugar.
After they surfaced, I took them out and arranged them in a tray covered with baking paper.
I baked the pretzels in a preheated 200 degree oven until golden brown, about 20 minutes.
The pretzels were very tasty and my family really liked them.
