Monday was a day off and 3th day in the garden. As usual weeding work, I decide to make some experiments with watering that I saw recently on youtube. Try two methods:
First, I took a bottle, drilled 4 holes, and buried it 20 cm so that the holes were covered. Each hole pointed to a plant. But it looks like the water will run out in a day or two. The first 2 bottles shrank, perhaps because the holes were filled with soil and no air enters.
The 2nd method seems much better to me. Take the bottom of a bottle that can be larger. Then on the other one, I drilled a hole below the level of the bottom of the first. I filled it with water and put it in the empty bottom of the other.
When the water passed the level of the hole stopped filling. Then I took about 30 cm of twine and wrapped it in foil. I dipped one end into the bottom of the larger bottle of water and aimed the other at the zucchini plant. After about 10 minutes, a drop began to form every 20-30 seconds.
