Light blue and cyan

Hello creation lovers:

I present to you a totally handmade project inspired by the liketu community logo.

Creation can be done at any time and you don't need special materials if you dream on your feet and use what you have at hand. Today I offer these words for your consideration and show you my design below from the materials I had at hand: a pair of loops and a pencil.

I was in a work meeting, one of those meetings that you have to go to but that have nothing to do with you or what you do, but you have to go. While people were talking and some people were listening, I was sitting in the back of the room and as I was bored my mind started to fly. I only had my diary and some papers that joined them together for yen loops or click loops and a pencil.

Les presento un proyecto totalmente hecho a mano inspirado en el logo de la comunidad liketu.

La creación puede llevarse a cabo en cualquier momento y no se necesitan de materiales especiales si se sueña con los pies en la tierra y se utiliza lo que se tiene a mano. Hoy pongo a su consideración estas palabras y les muestro mi diseño a continuación a partir de los materiales con los que contaba: un par de presillas clip y un lápiz.

Estaba en una reunión de trabajo, de esas que debes ir pero que no tienen nada que ver contigo ni con lo que haces, pero debes ir. Mientras hablaban las personas y algunas otras escuchaban, yo estaba sentada en el salón bien atrás y como estaba aburrida mi mente comenzó a volar. Solamente llevaba mi agenda y unos papeles que los unían para de presillas yen o presillas clip y un lápiz.

I looked at those little loops and the idea of transforming them came to me. I started to stretch their folds and it came to my mind that I could easily turn them into rectangles and add a triangle to make a symbol representing a message.

Two of these message symbols joined together would be like the liketu logo, I just needed the linking element. When I got home I looked for sewing threads with colours similar to those of this logo and with a crochet needle I knitted these little "messages" and then with the same thread I joined them together.

Miré aquellas presillitas y se me asomó la idea de transformarlas. Comencé a estirar sus dobleces y me vino a la mente que podía convertirlas fácilmente en rectángulos y adicionarles un triángulo para lograr un símbolo que representa un mensaje.

Dos símbolos de estos mensajes unidos entre sí serían como el logo de liketu, solo me faltaba el elemento de unión. Cuando llegué a mi casa busqué hilos de coser con colores similares a los de este logo y con aguja de crochet tejí estos pequeños "mensajitos" y luego con el mismo hilo los uní entre ellos.

I took a loop with a little force with my fingers and opened it at a 90-degree angle with its longest parts.

Tomé una presilla haciendo un poco de fuerza con mi dedos y la abrí haciendo una ángulo de 90 grados con sus partes más largas.

I stretched the longer end of the loop and opened the fold of the other end a little.

Estiré la patica más larga de la presilla y abrí un poco el doblez de la otra patica.

I folded at a 90 degree angle following the outline to make a rectangle.

I used the pencil as a tool and I used it as a clamp to make the folds rounded.

Doblé haciendo un ángulo de 90 grados siguiendo el trazado para hacer un rectángulo.

Me auxilié del lápiz como herramienta y lo utilicé de cepo para lograr que los dobleces quedaran redondeados.

I folded again at 90 degrees to complete a rectangle and arranged the triangle so that it ended up on the line of the rectangle.

In this way I made two copies and took them home to continue the work.

Volví a doblar en 90 grados hasta completar un rectángulo y acomodé el triángulo para que terminara su recorrido sobre la línea del rectángulo.

Así realicé dos ejemplares que me llevé a casa para continuar con el trabajo.

I took one of these little messengers and knitted it with green yarn with the help of the crochet needle.

Tomé uno de estos mensajitos y lo fui tejiendo con hilo verde con la ayuda de la aguja de crochet.

I filled the entire metal surface with the green thread and at the junction of the triangle I reinforced it so that the fabric would not come off, tying it to the rectangle piece. I cut the excess thread and set the piece aside.

I did the same procedure with the other piece using the blue thread.

Fui rellenando toda su superficie metálica con el hilo verde y en la unión del triángulo lo reforcé para que no se fuera a salir el tejido, atándolo a la pieza del rectángulo. Corté el hilo sobrante y reservé la pieza.

El mismo procedimiento lo realicé con la otra pieza empleando el hilo azul.

The only thing left to do was to arrange them in the same shape as the logo and join them together. I placed the green piece with the triangle facing up and to the right. I placed the blue piece with the triangle facing downwards and to the right. Offset from each other and forming a common rectangle between them, I tied the two pieces together with thread and the logo was ready!

Un mensajito verde y otro azul solo faltaba disponerlos en la misma forma del logo y unirlos entre sí. Coloqué la pieza verde con el triángulo hacia arriba y a la derecha. La pieza azul la coloqué con el triángulo hacia abajo y a la derecha. Desplazados entre sí y formando un rectángulo común entre ellos, até las dos piezas con hilo. ¡Ya quedó listo el logo!

Just pass the ring through the little green messenger and the work is finished, which I then put in my portfolio.

Solo pasar la argolla a través del mensajito verde y ya está terminado el trabajo que colgué después en mi cartera de trabajo.
