Hello everyone, it's another day in the diyhub community. Today, I will be sharing some electrical work which I did in my closet. Appliances are things we need to really take care of because they can develop fault at anytime which we might not know. That's is why we need to pay more attention to their working process so as to be able know when they develop fault or not.

So today, I noticed my extension socket stopped working this afternoon and I checked the main switch and it was supplying light to the extension. I then proceeded to the extension box and loosed it. Eventually after loosing it, I noticed there was nothing wrong with the wiring of the extension.

Then I wondered what the fault might be. For some time, I wondered but was not able to get the solution to it until when I decided to check the plug of the extension and then I noticed it was the fuse that was use to power the extension that was not working properly again.

Immediately, I went directly into my safe to check if I still have a spare fuse of 13A and I was able to find a new one to use as a replacement for the one that was there. As soon I changed the fuse, I connected the extension back by covering the places I have opened and I had to plug it back to power source and to try if it will come up back.

Final result

Lo and behold, when I plugged it back into the main source, the light came up and it came back to life and I was able to use it to power my appliances without having to pay anyone to help me do it. Learning is good and we need to learn to get better in what we do always because of time like this..

Occam's razor strikes again! !LOL

Lol. What does this mean??

Usually the most simple option is the good one. Everything else is just unnecessary complications.

Pulling your device apart was unecessary, a simple fuse check would solve the problem.

Yeah, you are right
