Hello hive,
Last weekend I made this beautiful dress for my sister to rock to one of her student’s wedding.
People from this part of the country where I reside will understand that ‘ Saturdays are for owanbe!😂😌
Regardless of how much we’re far from each other my sister won’t give her dress to any one to make for her aside me.
She had to waybill this from a very far end to me which I did the same after sewing.
One other thing, she doesn’t chose a style .
She love her dress long, without drama, sleeveless and classy
So I came up with this.
Materials used for this dress;
Three yards of this beautiful net lace
A yard of a matching color velvet
Satin for lining the lower bodice
Interfacing
Sugar lace for design
Rhinestones for embellishment
Sewing;
The first is to make the pattern for the upper bodice,
Pattern making is quite the easiest way to achieve your desired results without stress
After which we’ll cut the cloth with the pattern
Next is to cut the lining and add the interfacing
The essence of interfacing to make dresses fit cannot be overemphasized
Joining the lower bodice, I ruffled the remaining fabric on the waist just to give it a bit of design.
Now I have the dress ready,
I thought about a little way to make it classy.
So sugar lace and rhinestones were my bet.
I added the rhinestones and sugar lace on the dress using B-6000 gum.
I do prefer using UHU gum most times, but this B-6000 was the only gum available, so I had to use it since I didn’t have too much time on my hands.
Thank you for reading my post
I appreciate your time🥰❤️
