How are you today? I hope you're always all safe and sound. Anyways, I would like to share with you one of my self-discovery😊
There will be an incoming school activity and it will be the JS Prom. Are you familiar with JS Prom? I know you are😊. Way back then when I was in my first year of high school I heard the words JS Prom and the Junior and Senior students were excited about it.
I imagine myself experiencing this JS prom but unfortunately, when I was already at this stage, the school wasn't holding JS prom back then. That's why until this age I'm still so very observant of what is in JS Prom, and why everyone is excited when the school has this kind of activity.
After the Pandemic the school begins to hold activities like this that give excitement to the students.
I together with @missleray was assigned to make a corsage for men and women of JS prom participants.
THE CHALLENGE
The challenge is to make our own designs. I am tasked to make the corsage for men or commonly known as buttonholes or boutonnieres.
I had tried to make many designs but still, I am not contented because it doesn't look nice until I had this design.
THE MATERIALS
Artificial hanging flowers
Gluesticks and Gluegun
Insulation foam
Pair of Scissors
Blue ribbon
THE PREPARATIONS AND STEPS TO MAKE A BOUTONNIERES
Step 1. Form a shape like this in an insulation foam and cut it after using a pair of scissors.
Step 2. Cut 4 inches of blue ribbon to make a design like this.
Step 3. Cut one part of the artificial flower and two stems with leaves.
Step 4. Get one-cut insulation foam and paste the stems on the right and left sides.
Step 5. Get the cut flower and paste it on the center side. Be sure to paste the leaves in the insulation foam to make it durable.
Step 6. Get a 2 to 3 inch of blue ribbon to cover the lower part of our boutonniere.
Step 7. Paste the designed ribbon to give our boutonniere more beautiful and attractive.
I need to make 80 pieces of this for our men participants.
SELF-AWARENESS
It is not easy to make things accomplished for which you only have a little time but if you have that self-determination and courage, all will be done successfully, especially with God's grace and guidance.
