Hello, my hive friends!
My warmest greetings to one and all especially in this community. It's me again simplechalyns and I am hoping that everyone is well and doing great!
A beautiful sunny day to discover new things in life. Indeed! We are blessed with a beautiful environment and all we need is to take good care and appreciate what we have that God has given us.
Today, I would love to share with you what I had discover and this is how to make Coconut Vinegar from Tuba. An easy and simple steps that everyone could follow and enjoy.
My Papa (father-in-law) is a farmer. He has a rented area for his corn, banana, and sugarcane plantation.
Beside their house, there were coconut trees and I was amazed when I saw what he made. He is making coconut wine from the dwarf coconut tree (Bilaka) so that anytime he could sip and taste the sweetness of coconut wine.
He offered and gave me 3 bottles of coconut wine that he gathered from the past few days. He told me that I can make natural coconut vinegar from it.
I realized that he was definitely right! I could use vinegar for my cooking and it is a natural process meaning no chemicals are added unlike using vinegar that we bought in the store.
Vinegar is useful in cooking Paksiw ( cook and simmer in vinegar), it could also be an ingredient in having marinade and making tasty and savory sauce we can use also the vinegar, etc.
THE INGREDIENTS
Chili ( Sili )
5 cloves of garlic
2 grams of ginger
We have chili plants in front of our house and my daughter was the one who picked and harvested the chili for the ingredients.
These were the simple ingredients of our natural coconut vinegar. This could give an additional aroma to our vinegar. It smells good if this three will be added to our vinegar.
THE PREPARATION
Step 1. To prepare, drain the coconut wine and put it in a glass bottle. It can easily turn into vinegar when the container we use is a glass bottle.
Step 2. Add the chili (sili) to the bottle.
Step 3. Chop or slice the garlic into small pieces and add it to the bottle of coconut wine.
Step 4. Sliced the ginger and mixed it in the coconut wine.
That's it. We just have to wait two to three weeks to ferment our coconut wine and because of our ingredients, our coconut wine turns faster into a natural coconut vinegar.
This process of making coconut vinegar is a natural way and no chemicals added meaning it is good to use this in our dishes as an ingredient.
That's all for now my hive friends. Thank you for spending time reading this until here. Have a great day ahead. God bless
