Hail to the Hive!
The other day I managed to finally get in the engine bay and give it a good once over and get it back in order. This has lit the proverbial fire under my backside and got me into gear to start on some of the many projects I have for Badger the Narrowboat this year. It's like I always say "It's not the washing the dishes thats a problem it's the getting up to do it that's the hard part. Now I've broken the seal of productive activity it's time to crack on.
So once again I clear the decks and a portion of the roof
and get stripping!
There's also a bit of surface rust I will need to treat this week and sand back before the first coat of primer goes on.
Armed with only a little scraper I made good progress today and I am hopeful in a few days I will have the entire roof stripped back to the metal, rust treated and ready for primer coat.
I am hoping to get Badger looking fairly respectable before the end of summer as if an opportunity arises to sell her and get a bigger boat I'd like to be able to seize that chance.
Ok now that I am happy I've made a good enough start I will stop for the day, put my feet up, enjoy the sunshine and reward myself with a nice cold bottle of cider.
Ok truth be told I have been drinking these as I was stripping. I always find a little libation does wonders for my motivation in the sunny afternoons
And who says men can't multi task eh?
I will be posting the progress on this and showing you all Badger getting a bit of a facelift and you can all let me know what you think.
