Earlier on in the year my friend had invited me along to a wreath making workshop and I had been looking forward it ever since as I had to miss last year's one short notice.
When I arrived everyone had bag filled with accessories for your wreath along with with a metal circle frame filled with moss and a branch of spruce.
I inserted some garden wire into the moss and back out the other side in preparation to secure the spruce.
I cut the large spruce branch into smaller pieces and placed them in a anti clockwise motion whilst securing with the wire by wrapping it around the peices of spruce.
I forgot to take photos of this part!
But you keep going around until your wreath is covered in spruce.
I added some Holly leaves in at this point which was optional but I felt it made it feel extra Christmassy.
Now it was time to position the accessories on the wreath where I wanted them. Some people went for a minimal look however I preferred a busy design on mine.
I used dried orange and limes both whole and sliced, pinecones, fake poinsettia flowers and gold tweal peices to finish off the design.
I really enjoyed doing this workshop more then expected. I might consider doing a floral arrangement workshop in the future.
The wreath turned out really good in my opinion much better than I expected!
