Buzzing beauties; crafting Bee and Beehives for the DIYHUB Bee contest

Hello everyone, welcome to the DIY community where you can show your craft skills and also learn from others.

Today I will be crafting bees and beehives for the DIYHUB Bee contest, and I am going to make them with just simple materials we all normally have at home.

Materials are:

Carton
Cardboard
Gum
Toothbrush
Paintbrush
Black paint
Scissors
Pencil

Process

As you all can see, the materials are few and common as well. It doesn't matter what you are using to craft; all that matters is the craft you are about to make.

So let's get to work and see how I made the beautiful hivebee and the bee flying all around.

I cut a square shape from the carton and the cardboard, then made use of the brush to apply gum on the carton and then placed the cardboard on it, then set it aside to dry.

While I proceed with some other things

I cut a rectangular shape from the cardboard and then folded it into five places.

I applied gum at the tip, then placed the second tip on it to form a Pentagon shape.

The same procedure was applied to the rest of the rectangle shapes until I got the exact amount I needed for the hivebee.

I made use of the pencil to draw bee shapes on the cardboard, then made use of scissors to cut it out.

I also cut the wings as well and set everything aside.

Now it's time to bring everything together and see what it looks like.

I placed two Pentagon shapes on the square shape and made use of the toothbrush to apply gum to them; the same process was applied to the rest of the shape until there was no space on the square shape again.

I started placing the Bee shape on each Pentagon shape after placing everything, I made use of a small paintbrush to paint the head black, and I also drew three lines on each bee shape with the black paint.
