I woke up earlier and I felt better.after all the house chores and i decided to get myself useful in diy.
I decided to make a sleeping mask/eye mask
Well,i haven't used it before but i got the inspiration from a Nigerian movie i had watched earlier.where a lady used it.
At first I needed a fabric that would suit it and luckily for me I saw a nice fabric at home and i took it.
Here are the materials i used
- Red color fabric.
- Scissors
- thread and thread
- Soft warden
First step
Though i was a little bit worried on how to start,but i had an idea to sketch the image of the eye mask.
So i took the fabric and i sketch on it using pen.
It was a little hard for me because i wasn't too sure of how the out come will be

I took the soft warden and placed it on the material,with reasons that,i wanted the eye mask to be a bit foamy for comfortability.

I got a needle with thread and i started sewing,
I kept following the lines i had drawn on the fabric

I completed the sewing and i took a scissors and trimmed off the extra sides.

I made a small hole from each side of the eye mask by loosening the thread there.
Next step
After creating the hole, it was easier to turn out the best side of the fabric, and i turned it out.

I got a little piece of fabric and i created a rope from it.
I sewed vertically to a prefered length.
After that i cut off the extra piece.
Next step
I got a safety pin and elastic,the safety pin was used to pulled out the elastic through the rope.
Next step
Finally i fixed the rope on it and my eye mask was ready.
I wasn't sure of what to expect,but am grateful that i gave it a try.
