Hello everyone, welcome to this months edition of DIY I was very excited when I saw this month's theme. Tho I'm pretty late but it's better late than never, Don't you agree with me😉

Honey is one of nature's finest medicine, and thank God we don't have to dig deep down into the ground before we can have honey.
Thanks to Bees, we have them in abundance.
Honey has so many health benefits, tho I can't mention all here, maybe next time lol. From wound healing to skincare and so much more goodness.
Even after being stung by a Bee. You still can't resist honey, now that's a true story hahaha.
Some year's ago I followed my dad to his bee farm to get some honey. And while we were there, I got stung by a bee and it was extremely painful. I would say my forehead got swollen to almost the size of my tiny head 😆, nahh I'm just kidding but the swelling was very big. One would think that after being stung by a Bee I would back down. But No! I still pushed on to get the Honey. And it was the best honey id ever had in my life.

Bees are one of the most beautiful creatures I've ever seen. They're so Tiny yet they produce something so amazing, something that's cherished by everyone.

I had so much fun making this project as it took me less than 30mins to make and doesn't require so many things. Just your basic crochet materials and voila you're done.

I decided to do a Bee Amirugumi Keychain because I'm very good at misplacing my house key. But with this, it will be easier to find and I think very hard to misplace since it's attached to a chain which you can hang on your bag, your purse or just put around your finger, instead of holding your keys in your hands, which can be tiring.
I also decided to make them in different colors too.

materials
Scissor
Yarn (black and yellow)
3.5mm hook
Darning needle
Eyes
Stitch marker

How To Inc and Dc
Sc in one St, then in the next St, put your hook through then you'll have 2 Loops, put your hook into the second and you'll have 3 loops, yarn over and pull through all three loops that's how you decrease.
To increase, Sc, in the next, put two Sc into one loop. Continue the same pattern.
Note: use a stitch marker to mark the end of every row

IMG_20230727_232352.jpg Procedure

Step 1: make a magic ring, 6 Sc into the magic ring, then pull to form a circle.
Step 2: Inc in each St = 12 St
Step 3,4: Sc into the first loop, then Inc In the next St. Continue this same pattern =18
Step 5, change your yarn to black. Sc all through = 18
Step 6: Switch to your yellow yarn, and repeat the same pattern as step 5.
Step 7: switch back to black and repeat the same pattern as Step 6
Step 8: Switch to yellow and repeat the same pattern as 7
Step 9: Dc from steps 9, 10
Step 11: put all your stuffing inside and use your thumb to press it down while you Sc to cover it up.
Step 12: use your needle to sew the remaining yarn inside the bee.

To make your wings
Make a magic ring, 6Sc into the ring, and then pull the crochet round and you're done. I know right, it's very easy 😉. Then attach it to your Bee.

For the eyes and mouth, you'll need your needle and some black yarn, to sew and form the shape you need.
I didn't need to sew in the eyes for some because I used my beads with Glue to attach them. It was pretty hard because that glue doesn't stick to yarn. It almost ruined my work. So I'll advise you to use glue meant for yarn, Or you can use the eyes which you can just screw in. Or sew it in. Then sew in your mouth to form different facial expressions. Tho I just did one facial expression here.
I hope you do get to try this out.

REMEMBER
If you're making this for a child make sure you don't use glue to stick the eyes because they can come off and become a choking hazard.
