These...are improvised protectors for the fingers of people who pull bowstrings all too often.
Quite specific, I know. But funny enough, I might be needing one tomorrow.
I did not expect to be making any this evening. The material called for them itself. I am happy I was able to reuse it and give some life to some new stuff.
Some of that kitchen roll of nylon became unusable when I accidentally tore it at an odd angle. I was wrapping a painting that @silver.art wanted to send by couriers...who obviously can't pack stuff themselves or prefer not to pack stuff outside of their comfort zone.
Anyway, I had this roll of nylon that would go to waste. And because I wanted the paper roll beneath, I was trying to peel the leftovers back. And then they peeled in sheets of compressed matter that would retain some flexibility but become sturdier than what you would have expected of it.
It was probably a sudden insight for I had no idea beforehand as to what should we do with some scrap compressed nylon that came off in sheets.
I don't know how I reached that idea but...I did and I went all in, making as many as possible in the short time before falling asleep on the keyboard as opposed to going home.
Normally made of leather, and of similar design. You put your middle finger in the hole and you have the front part cover the tips of the three fingers that you normally pull the bowstring with. They become pretty rough pretty fast otherwise.
Well, I hope it works. I plan on testing it tomorrow.
Meanwhile...
Peace!
