Oh my lord what an ordeal, but from ↑This↑ to
Was an inCREDIBLE Trial of my patience.
From this
To this
So I hired a guy to install the bead board paneling, which I'd had cut at the store and primed here at the house. I WISH I'd had time to paint a top coat at least before bringing it all inside
But I done all the caulk, sanding, painting etc
One of the main purposes was to install this "Tri-fold Mirror" medicine cabinet.
I grew up with one of these, making it very easy to look at the blackheads etc on my shoulders.
It took FOUR TUBES of caulk to fill all the voids behind that chair railing and below it where the grooves in the paneling met the chair rail.
I'm not settled on the backsplash I installed.
Now I need to clean up spilled paint, accidental brush/roller bumps, put the switch covers back on and reinstall the towel bar and TP roll holder.
I definitely have a much brighter bathroom now. It took more than a ½ gallon of yellow paint to cover the gray sheetrock.
It didn't take that much white on the rough paneling. Go figure
