Adapting for the cold and other activities.

We had a one night freeze warning last night.
Such a hassle, I had just made the effort to move as many of my plants out of the studio by myself, then got a neighbor to help with the 4 big pots

I first erected the old folding tent frame with the new VERY much too large tent cover, and moved the plants into the center, hoping that would be enough to keep the frost away

Still worried (I've had and cared for those 4 plants for a very long time) I put plastic bags over most of them

I had a nice call with my sister Linda this morning, and at one point I (still talking) went outside and removed the plastic bags from those plants.
I did NOT drip any outside faucets last night, didn't think it necessary, but I've had this in mind for some time.

I had driven a piece of metal fence post down next to that blue pipe at the new faucet, but the installers had it nailed to that rotten wall behind it. I had this green pool noodle and thought it would make an excellent insulation tube.

Wasn't easy, but I got it done (slice the pool noodle open and slipped it over the exposed blue pipe, then duct taped it all as much as I could)
I was going around the side with the AC etc, and noticed that the door to the crawl space was WIDE ass open.
Now I ain't been up under there in ages and I know it wasn't open yesterday, or I would have noticed.
Last night I heard many strange sounds, mostly like things hitting the roof, or a couple of times the walls of my bedroom. Each time I turned on my cam that faces the back end of the house, but never saw anything.
I could not find any tracks outside that open door, but there was a decidedly funky smell, so I suspect I've got another possum under there.
I hope not, or I hope that it gets hungry, makes a sound so I can go back and open the door so it will leave.

Death of the crepe myrtle follow up

I had left the main stump bunch in an uneven state, so yesterday, with a couple of bubble levels, a stool to sit upon and my chainsaw, I got them much more level.

I put the Mandavilla I've had in the studio greenhouse all winter up there (took it down last night and covered it with several other things)

I must take all that back down and paint the ends of the stump with herbacide to be sure that damned Crepe Myrtle doesn't come back to haunt me.
Still have two large pots of Spotted Begonia in the studio, noticed one is blooming with PINK flowers (they've always been watermelon red)

Just as soon as I can be sure they will be safe, they too will come out in the sunlight.
Then I will begin tilling the veggie garden, and dismantling the stage (under the greenhouse enclosure) for raw materials, and begin more of my projects.

So @hivewatcher , are you saying that the DIYHub is a scam account? I've delegated to them over a year ago, hence the upvotes.
Or, are you accusing ME of being a scam account?

Please advise asap. If they are now a scam, I need to retrieve my delegation

Hello.
The comment is on biyimi comment, not DIYHub account.

There is a milk list circulating in the Nigerian community that is used to hit with comments on posts which are authored by lucrative comment upvoters. They focus on these authors so they can receive guaranteed upvotes on comments.

Also, these accounts have a history of other abuses like plagiarism (writing, art), AI fraud, etc.

Thank you for this information

The work must have really been heavy on you. You should really have a helping hand I actually suggested

What don't you understand about "I live alone, I have no family nor friends closeby?
Every time I try to get help, I have to PAY for it, and right now I can't afford to pay someone to come over here and stand around while I work.
Thank you though, for caring.
