I bring to you one of my lovely beaded bag design. This bag is a unique one and this is the first time I will be creating this design. As a crafts person, I always strive to learn new designs and new patterns. When I saw this design for the first time, it caught my attention and I decided to try it out. Thankfully, it all come out nicely one the first trial and it looks as beautiful as it ought to be.
Normally, the bag design needs two packs of crystal beads and at the time I made it, I didn't have two packs of same beads so I decided to mix the colors. The colors I choose was pink and red. Pink for the main body of the bag and red for the handle. I wasn't sure if the result will be nice cus I'm poor at mixing colors together so seeing the end result looking nice gave me a peace of mind.
In this post, I will be taking us through the process of creating this design. Stay tuned.
MATERIALS USED
- One pack of Pink Crystal beads
- One pack of Red Crystal beads
- 0.75mm fishing line
- Scissors
PROCESS
- The first thing I did was to bead a 7 by 13 rows which comprised of 13 flowers of 4beads in 7places as seen below.
- Next, on the row of 13, I started beading the last 7th beads down and I repeated process 7times. This is to create a V shape as seen below.
- Afterwards, I completed to top part with beads to create the triangular shape and I picked the red color and started beading the baseline for the handle.
- Next, I completed the square shape of the handle in both sides of the bag.
- Finally, I started beaded the sides to join the two bag sides together.
