Good morning and happy new week to you all.
Having new designs is one thing that I admire,a lace that I have at home, at first I was doubting if I should buy a velvet of the same colour with lace, then I changed my mind and chose black, black can be mixed with any kind of colour.
The process
Nipple point -6 inches
Underbust -12 inches
Half-length - 15 inches
Waist -26 inches
Hip-35 inches
The first thing I cut was the frontal bodice with a princess dart bustier.
Materials needed
Wadding (for padding)
Linen 1/2 yard for the upper bodies
Calculations
For the neck I removed 5 inches from the half length,it is off shoulder
I chalked out the bust which is 34 inches and I added 4 inches allowances, waist and underburst all on a straight line accordingly, the bust point(which you can also call the nipple to nipple point) which is 7 inches, I divided by two gives 3 and half inches, the half inch for joining.
I measured another 1 inch on the underburst and extend it to the half-length, then joined the lines. From the bust point I come down by 1 inch and join it to the 1 inch(this
is based on how you want it to push out)
I cut the back and included the zip allowance.
I added wadding
The skirt length
I shaped out the hip, the waist, and the knee length and added 1 and 1/2 for the zip allowance.
I joined the half-length and skirt length together.
I fixed the zip
For the sleeve, I added elastic and tack it
I am not yet perfect, so I am open to corrections
