Hello DIYers - 5th Contest Month of 2023!

As you well know, we are a DIY community here on HIVE with the sole aim of supporting DIY creators all around the globe. Within this community we are hosting a monthly contest to encourage and reward great authors out there, and with each contest comes a theme. Because we are fully non-profit and share 100% curation reward with our delegators we have collected a bunch of cool projects and communities who are open to supporting us with the monthly prize pools. This time we have a big collab with @ecency and many different prizes but first let's talk about the results of the contest month of April!

We all had a difficult last month with the music video set/prop theme. There only have been 2 valid but still exciting entries and we have been very surprised about the lack of contest entries. We did our best to give you examples and reminded you bunch of times but that was not enough. Unfortunately nobody asked us about the theme or told us that they don't know how to join the contest but we have learned a lot with lesson and came to the conclusion that y'all like more general topics you can get creative with. The topic of April has been just too special and obviously was not broad enough for you to find ideas. It was a bummer to see that the theme got not transported as much as we wanted but let's learn from it and move forward :)

Create anything related to sea creatures but still think out of the box and create your own idea in order to stand out of the masses ;) The more creative you get the higher is the chance of winning! Get inspired by all the amazing sea life documentaries and childhood memories.



The sea is a beatiful place with a lot of very special creatures. Let's capture them and create something to underline the beauty of nature!

3 Tips

• To maximize your chances get creative and think outside the box.

• Create something unique with the prompt and try to avoid the obvious.

• The more details your post contains about the process the better your chances will be

• try to add many images, describing text and maybe a video of the process

• use the long time until the deadline to optimize your post as much as you can

• as you can read in the rules and target niches we only accept processes/tutorials not just posts about the final result

We also take the prizes of April into the contest and to celebrate the 5th month of our 2023 contest run we are also going to donate liquid Hive and Hive SBI!
