PRESENTACIÓN ESCOLAR (Dulce Típico del Municipio San Felipe, "EL PAVITO") / SCHOOL PRESENTATION (Typical Sweet of the Municipality of San Felipe, "EL PAVITO")

Buen día a todos, hoy les traigo un paso a paso de como elabore un pequeño paraban para la presentación escolar de mi niña.

Basado en uno de los dulces típicos de nuestro Municipio San Felipe - Estado Yaracuy - Venezuela, llamado "EL PAVITO".

Good morning everyone, today I bring you a step by step of how I made a small paraban for my little girl's school presentation.

Based on one of the typical sweets of our Municipality San Felipe - Yaracuy State - Venezuela, called "EL PAVITO".

Les cuento un poco de la historia sobre este dulce "EL PAVITO" es un dulce tradicional declarado patrimonio cultural gastronómico de nuestro municipio San Felipe.

Este rico postre fue dado a conocer en nuestro estado de la mano de las hermanas Chirinos, Ana de la Cruz y Maria Erelvina, por allá en el año 1939, quienes fueron voluntarias en el Asilo San Agustín antiguo Hospital, estas hermanas allí aprendieron junto a las hermanas Agustinas, quienes traían de otras generaciones toda la herencia gastronómica española que guardaba en los conventos el secreto de la fabricación de los dulces que aun perduran.

I tell you a little of the history of this sweet "EL PAVITO" is a traditional sweet declared gastronomic cultural heritage of our municipality of San Felipe.

This rich dessert was made known in our state by the hand of the Chirinos sisters, Ana de la Cruz and Maria Erelvina, back in 1939, who were volunteers at the Asilo San Agustin old Hospital, these sisters learned there with the Augustinian sisters, who brought from other generations all the Spanish gastronomic heritage that kept in the convents the secret of the manufacture of sweets that still remain.

Con el pasar de los años se une a ellas la señora Carmen Falcón quien llegó a los dieciséis años de edad a trabajar la dulcería.

Esta transmite hace mas de 20 años todos los secretos a sus hijos y por muchos años se mantuvo y se ha mantenido la elaboración de este exquisito dulce.

Over the years, Mrs. Carmen Falcón, who arrived at the age of sixteen to work in the candy factory, joined them.

She passed on all the secrets to her children more than 20 years ago and for many years the elaboration of this exquisite candy has been maintained.

hoy en día podemos encontrar estos dulces en la 5ta Avenida entre calles 6 y 7 de nuestro municipio San Felipe, atendido por su propietaria la señora HAIDEE CASTILLO, quien ha mantenido la elaboración de etos pavitos por muchos años de la mano de su madre.

Los pavitos son elaborados con mermelada de plátano madurito que debería prepararse desde el día anterior, envuelta en una masa de harina de trigo que incorpora el melao de papelón especiado.

como lo explica la señora Haidee Castillo, hoy en día cultora que a diario fortalece nuestras tradiciones y costumbres a través de la dulcería criolla, siendo reconocida por nuestro Estado como custodio de la memoria tradicional en la elaboración de estos pavitos.

Today we can find these sweets in the 5th Avenue between 6th and 7th streets of our municipality San Felipe, attended by its owner Mrs. HAIDEE CASTILLO, who has maintained the elaboration of these turkeys for many years by the hand of her mother.

The turkeys are made with ripe plantain jam that should be prepared from the day before, wrapped in a dough of wheat flour that incorporates the spiced paprika molasses.

This is how Mrs. Haidee Castillo explains it, today she is a culture that daily strengthens our traditions and customs through the Creole sweets, being recognized by our State as the custodian of the traditional memory in the elaboration of these little turkeys.

I show you how I elaborated this paraban...

📦 PASO 1: Tome la caja Grande y dibuje el diseño que iba a necesitar en este caso quise resaltar el monumento a nuestro San Felipe el Fuerte, Dibuje y corte con ayuda de mi tijera y exacto., así como también lo presente en una mesa para ver el tamaño el cual lo quería.

📦 STEP 1: Take the big box and draw the design I was going to need in this case I wanted to highlight the monument to our San Felipe el Fuerte, I drew and cut with the help of my scissors and exactly, as well as presented it on a table to see the size I wanted it to be.

📦 PASO 2: Tome las piezas cortadas y les pegue papel, usando la técnica de papel mache, esto con la intensión de endurecerlo un poco para que este quedara con mejor firmeza.

📦 STEP 2: Take the cut pieces and glue paper to them, using the paper mache technique, with the intention of hardening it a little so that it would be firmer.

📦 PASO 3: Procedí a aplicar una capa de pintura al frio de color blanco para cubrir los papeles que les había pegado anteriormente.

📦 STEP 3: I proceeded to apply a coat of white cold paint to cover the papers I had previously glued to them.

📦 PASO 4: Una vez pintadas y secadas corte cuatro tiras del foami de color negro de 4cm de ancho por 15cm de largo, las pegue por la parte de atrás de cada base o pieza esto para unirlas de esta manera.

📦 STEP 4: Once painted and dried, cut four strips of black foami 4cm wide by 15cm long, glue them on the back of each base or piece to join them in this way.

📦 PASO 5: Con el papel bong forre mis tres piezas para darles mejor presencia, las pegue por toda las orillas con mi silicón liquido.

📦 STEP 5: With the bong paper I lined my three pieces to give them a better presence, I glued them all around the edges with my liquid silicone.

📦 PASO 6: Tome las imágenes que había imprimido el día anterior y las recorte, así como también las presente en la base con la intensión de ver exactamente donde las quería pegar, seguidamente tome los foamis y las cartulinas y pegue todas mis imágenes intercalando los colores esto para darles mas vistosidad y también para representar los colores de la bandera de nuestro Municipio San Felipe.

📦 STEP 6: Take the images that I had printed the day before and cut them out, as well as present them on the base with the intention of seeing exactly where I wanted to paste them, then take the foamis and cardboard and paste all my images interspersing the colors this to give them more colorful and also to represent the colors of the flag of our Municipality San Felipe.

📦 PASO 7: También elabore la bandera del municipio San Felipe, tome los foamis de colores, azul rey, naranja y la cartulina dorada, los corte con ayuda de un patrón que elabore y así forme la bandera.

📦 STEP 7: Also make the flag of the municipality of San Felipe, take the colored foamis, royal blue, orange and gold cardboard, cut them with the help of a pattern that you make and thus form the flag.

📦 PASO 8: Corte también los foamis formando cada palabra con las que armaría los títulos a exponer en las bases.

Así como también corte y elabore algunos detalles que complementarían todo.

📦 STEP 8: Cut also the foamis forming each word with which I would assemble the titles to expose in the bases.

As well as cut and elaborate some details that would complement everything.

Una vez que tuve todas las imagenes y titulos listos comence a pegar cada cosa en su lugar en las bases o lo que seria el paraban.

Once I had all the images and titles ready I started to glue each thing in its place on the bases or what would be the paraban.

📄 PASO 9: Una vez que tuve la Base principal o paraban ya terminado y armado, comencé a elaborar unos folletos en los cuales presentaría la receta o preparación de estos pavitos y así mi niña entregaría a cada uno de sus compañeros de clase y de esta manera estos puedan elaborarlos en sus casas y conocer bien uno de nuestros dulces típicos.

📄 STEP 9: Once I had the main base or paraban already finished and assembled, I began to make some brochures in which I would present the recipe or preparation of these little turkeys and so my girl would give them to each of her classmates so they could make them at home and get to know one of our typical sweets.

📄 PASO 10: Tome hojas blancas, las cuales corte cada una por la mitad y doble esa mitad en tres partes iguales formando el folleto, esto lo hice con cada una de las hojas.

📄 STEP 10: Take white sheets, which I cut each one in half and fold that half in three equal parts forming the booklet, I did this with each of the sheets.

📄 PASO 11: Corte las imágenes impresas para el paso a paso de la receta, fui escribiendo y pegando cada paso, este proceso lo hice con cada hoja.

📄 STEP 11: Cut the printed images for the step by step of the recipe, I was writing and pasting each step, this process I did with each sheet.

🎁 PASO 12: La idea de presentar este dulce de esta manera era que los niños conocieran tanto la preparación e historia del mismo, así como también su sabor, así que nos fuimos a la tienda de la señora Haidee Castillo para conocer más sobre su historia y poder comprarlos y de este modo poder llevarlos el día de la presentación de mi niña y hacerles entrega a cada niño de una muestra de este rico dulce.

🎁 STEP 12: The idea of presenting this candy in this way was for the children to learn about its preparation and history, as well as its flavor, so we went to Mrs. Haidee Castillo's store to learn more about its history and be able to buy them and thus be able to take them the day of my little girl's presentation and give each child a sample of this delicious candy.

Les cuento que mi niña estaba muy emocionada de poder conocer a la señora Haidee una bella persona, muy dulce, humilde y de gran corazón de verdad fue un honor conocerla.

🎁 PASO 13: Una vez comprados los brazos de pavito, los cortamos en porciones pequeñas con el fin de que nos alcanzara para todos los niños y niñas, así como también los empaquetamos en bolsitas de seda para su mejor presentación.

🎁 STEP 13: Once we bought the turkey arms, we cut them into small portions so that we would have enough for all the children, and we also packaged them in silk bags for better presentation.

Teniendo esto listo, fuimos ensamblando todo agregando detalles al paraban y a la mesa, complementándolo con los ingredientes de esta preparación así como también cestas para decorar entre otros...

Una vez Armada la Mesa con el paraban así quedo...

Having this ready, we were assembling everything adding details to the paraban and to the table, complementing it with the ingredients of this preparation as well as baskets to decorate among others...

Fue un trabajo de mucho esfuerzo y dedicación pero muy gratificante la verdad estoy muy orgullosa de mi pequeña, lo hizo excelente el día de su presentación escolar, así como también su entrega para elaborar cada proyecto que se le presenta.

Me llena de satisfacción y orgullo decir que soy Sanfelipeña y el poder mostrarles a todos ustedes un poquito sobre una de las tradiciones de mi pueblo es lo maximo...

It was a job of much effort and dedication but very rewarding, the truth is that I am very proud of my little girl, she did an excellent job the day of her school presentation, as well as her dedication to elaborate each project that is presented to her.

It fills me with satisfaction and pride to say that I am Sanfelipeña and to be able to show all of you a little bit about one of the traditions of my town is the best...
