I wanted to make a present for a friend and she is really into self made / diy presents.
So inspired with house gifts I made an arty looking vase in black, gold and silver together with my youngest.
Here you see the total proces.
You need a vase, water in a plastic box ,
There colors spraypaint and plastic gloves.
On this free and sunny sunday i decided we could make some time to do this.
This is our end result and the present we are giving.
The needed essentials.
We had to remove the safety botton from the spray can
I washed the vase and wiped it clean and dry.
After that we sprayed the bases layer in black. When you do white it will be softer.
It had to dry for 10 minutes.
Than the spraying could begin. In the water in the box you spray the amount of colors you want on the vase.
The black, silver and gold was a great combo.
Also a great tip is to use thrift store vases. There are some great beauties there for just a little bit of money.
The black based vase is put in the spray painted water and with a rolling movement through the water.
You can do many layers if you want but it hard to dry in between ofcourse.
You can also do a glass vase without a base layer , you see that here but the layers didnt stick very well, so i had to wipe of the spray paint and we went with the black base.
The endresult is wonderful and we will give this included with a bunch of beautiful flowers as a housewarming present.
