TABLE DECOR FOR CHRISTMAS DINNER TABLE

I am trying out table accessories for Christmas dinner and the Christmas brunch we are having. I need decorations and saw a Christmas hat where you put in a ferrero richer chocolate. And put a name on it. I saw online you need a ring ( a cut out from a toilet roll ) and string which you put over and put through its loop. That way when you are round it looks like a jellyfish. When you are finished you pull the total through to the other side. And put a string around the loose threads.
When you pull it and make a knot a little Santa hat comes out.
I did a trial with pink yarn, so not Christmassy at all, yet it works and is what I need for Christmas 2023. My pink one is now with googly eyes and eyebrows just a funny little human. The name sign will be on the ones I need. I will make the new ones in white, green and red. The colors of Christmas.
Ofcourse I will share the end result and the table when it’s set for dinner.

The hat made with the same strips and the eyes certainly give life and a lot of flow to your work is very nice.

Those little hats are soooo clever! You could make (or buy) matching mittens to put your utensils in too. 😃

Yesss I gave to knit 🧶 then I think
