A beautiful day to you all and I hope you are all doing well, thank God it's a new week and I wish you all a productive week ahead. Last week, I was busy sewing different types of outfit for friends, neighbor and families, it was a busy week for me, I'm glad I was able to meet up with the delivery date for each outfit and the outcome were all looking nice, you can check my blog for those lovely outfit. Today, I will be sharing with you my recent design of an off shoulder princess dart bustier straight gown with peplum at the waistline in form of skirt and blouse I made for my friend Grace.

Grace has been a friend with good heart to me, she comes to my place to watch me do my work, she helps me mostly in ironing anytime she around, she is not a lover of native outfit, she prefer to go to a boutique to get her size of outfit without any stress but I was surprised when she brought this fabric to me that she needed to make something simple and nice with it, she told me even when she didn't like native outfit, she love what I make for people and will like to give it a trial, though, the fabric she bought was a gift from her sister in-law, she decided to sew it and I was determined to make something nice for her that will change her perception about native outfit.

With her body measurement, I began the cutting and sewing of the gown, the thing is that she didn't pick a particular style, she left me to do my thing and she trust that I won't disappoint her. I began the cutting of the lower part of the gown from the waistline to the full length of the gown, marking out the vertical and horizontal measurement with seam allowance. It was cut out and placed on a lining to cut out same shape, it was sewn together and neatly ironed.

The two back part were sewn together with the zipper allowance and it was sewn to the front part to have the lower bodice ready and it was set aside

With the upper bodice measurement, I drafted out an off shoulder princess dart bustier on a brown paper and it was duplicated on the main fabric as well as the lining.

The upper and lower part were sewn together and I have a complete dress, for the flare, I cut out a 360° flare and sew it to the waistline of the dress.

Finally, I cut out a flare sleeve and attached it to the shoulder.
