Saludos estimada comunidad de Joyas, hoy deseo mostrarles mi más reciente trabajo de artesanía y bisutería. Elaboré un colgante con material óseo de res.
Éste sencillo es mi primer trabajo que realizó con hueso, al principio tenía dudas sobre los pasos para iniciar y preparé con paciencia la mesa de trabajo pero en realidad se utilizan casi que los mismos materiales para trabajar piedras, vidrios, madera y otros elementos.
La técnica no varía mucho, solo que el hueso es un objeto mucho más resistente que la madera y para esculpir hay que hacerlo con suma paciencia y con las herramientas apropiadas.

Greetings dear Jewelry community, today I want to show you my most recent work of crafts and jewelry. I made a pendant with beef bone material.
This simple one is my first work done with bone, at first I had doubts about the steps to start and I patiently prepared the work table but in reality almost the same materials are used to work stones, glass, wood and other elements.
The technique does not vary much, it is just that bone is a much more resistant object than wood and to sculpt it you have to do it with great patience and with the appropriate tools.

Iniciamos hirviendo en agua caliente el hueso para desinfectarlo, luego recortamos con un disco de esmeril para drenel la parte más prolija, también se puede hacer con una sierra manual y con lápiz marcamos un ovalo de aproximadamente 5 centímetros de largo por 1.2 céntimos de ancho.
Con la lija y drenel vamos perfeccionando las curvas y aplanando para conseguir un óvalo tal como muestra la siguiente imagen.
Es importante el uso de equipos de protección ya que las esquirlas de huesos son volátiles y golosas y pueden hacer corte o daños en los ojos.
We start by boiling the bone in hot water to disinfect it, then we cut out the neatest part with an emery disc to drain it. It can also be done with a manual saw and with a pencil we mark an oval approximately 5 centimeters long by 1.2 cents wide.
With the sandpaper and drain we are perfecting the curves and flattening to obtain an oval as shown in the following image.
It is important to use protective equipment since bone splinters are volatile and greedy and can cut or damage the eyes.
El segundo paso es el más complicado pero no imposible, sino no lu hubiera podido hacer jeje. Se trata de hacer un asterisco en el centro del ovalo para ir esmerilado, de manera que, quede como una reja protegiendo en su interior una perla preciosa.
Para éste trabajo se necesita una punta de diamante delgada y se va marcando las rayas del boceto del asterisco. Seguidamente se perfora el centro y por debajo se va haciendo un orificio del tamaño de la piedra que vayamos a utilizar y que sea proporcional a las dimensiones ya establecidas.
The second step is the most complicated but not impossible, otherwise I wouldn't have been able to do it hehe. It involves making an asterisk in the center of the oval to be polished, so that it looks like a fence protecting a precious pearl inside.
For this work you need a thin diamond tip and mark the lines of the asterisk sketch. Next, the center is drilled and a hole is made below the size of the stone that we are going to use and that is proportional to the dimensions already established.
El tercer paso ya es más fácil porque solo falta pegar la piedra, estaba indeciso entre tres piedras de bisutería para insertarla y pegarla en mi trabajo. Terminé colocando la color naranja porque me combina mejor con el cordón piel de serpiente color naranja.
Después de pegar la piedra, le hice un pequeño agujero en la parte superior para colocar el cordón.
Finalmente lo pulí para sacarle brillo y que quedará listo para lucirlo en el cuello .
The third step is easier because all that remains is to glue the stone. I was undecided between three jewelry stones to insert and glue into my work. I ended up using the orange color because it combines better with the orange snakeskin cord.
After gluing the stone, I made a small hole in the top to place the bead.
Finally I polished it to make it shine so that it will be ready to wear on my neck.
En realidad me gustó el resultado final y espero a ustedes también les guste.
Es mi primer experimento tallando huesos pero vale el sacrificio porque es un material muy resistente y duradero.
En mi comunidad muchas personas usan este tipo de joyas porque en las playas venden muchos modelos diferentes.

It is my first experiment carving bones but it is worth the sacrifice because it is a very resistant and durable material.
In my community many people wear this type of jewelry because they sell many different models on the beaches.
