Today I decided to make A alphabet earring using gum and beads. The earring is not all that difficult to make but the idea was something that was quite difficult to come up with. I didn’t have an idea of a particular earring to make because of my schedule with other physical work I do and family handling as well. But coming up with an A alphabet earring was the only thing I could think of making and presenting for the community and Hive.
Materials that were considered in making the A alphabet earring will be highlighted below:
1.5mm fishing line.
4 pieces of long traditional straw bead while 2 pieces were used for each side of the earring.
4 pieces of aluminum pearl beads were used while 2 pieces were used for each side of the earring.
B-6000 gum.
Earring hook.
Bead stopper.
Gutter.
Plier.
Matches.
Procedures that were used in making the A alphabet earring also have to be highlighted below:
The first thing that you must do is to make sure that the gum and other materials to be used are brought together. This is to give you easy access to the materials when making the earring which is expected to save you time and energy.
Now, use your cutter to cut the fishing line. After that, bend the fishing line to form two double lines. After forming the two double lines using the fishing line, insert a bead stopper, drag to the last joint of the doubled fishing lines, and then use a plier to clip the bead stopper.
Now, insert 1 aluminum pearl bead into the fishing line we just used a bead stopper to hold. By the time you have succeeded, you will have to carefully apply some gum to the aluminum pearl from the bottom side where the bead stopper is showing. You will also have to apply gum on the top side and the edge side of two pieces of traditional straw beads. After that, you will have to allow the aluminum pearl bead and the 2 pieces of traditional straw bead for about 15 minutes for drying.
By the time the beads are dried from the gum applied, you will have to gum the 1 piece of aluminum pearl bead to the top side of 1 traditional straw bead and after, you will have to gum the second piece of traditional straw bead to the side of the aluminum pearl bead. You will have to make sure that gumming is okay. Now allow the beads to dry for about 15 minutes.
Now, you will have to apply another gum to the middle side of the two traditional straw beads we just gummed previously. You will have to do the same to 1 piece of aluminum pearl bead. Allow drying for about 15 minutes. Now gum the 1 aluminum pearl to the center of the two straw traditional straw bead to form the complete A alphabet earring.
Now, you will have to insert the earring hook to the top side of the A alphabet earring following the fishing line space. After that, use a bead stopper to hold the earring hook. Now, use a plier to lock the bead stopper.
Finally, you will have to use matches to burn out a fire which will be used to dress the mouth of the fishing lines.
