HELPING IN THE BUSINESS DURING THE HOLY WEEK
As you all know in my previous blog, I went bak to my home town for a 3 day holiday because of the holy week. Back then I was so busy that I didnt have the time to wright a blog of the things I did since be the time I was done with my work I was really tired and would rather sleep then proceed with writing a blog. In the entire holy week I wave been helping our small e-bike business by repainting some of our units, reparing parts and was also assembling one unit. The three days felt like a week, I was already itching to get back to my boarding house I could have a proper sleep. So here are some of the things I did that's worth highlighting in the blog:
GIVING OUR E-BIKES A MAKEOVER
I basically did this with our units that was needing a make over, hahahaha. It was already dark when I was painting this one, I love it though cause workoing in the day time nowawdays is really tiring because of the rise or increase of temperature. As you can see the paint on this was was alreay at its worse, it really needed my magical hands to give it a make over. In doing to I first brush of any rust that has accumulated in the metals and then wipe it with some paint thiner. My father tol me this, I don't exactly know how but he said it helps with preventing the rust to come back.
MAKING A NEW E-BIKE UNIT
In the three days that I have spent at home I almost manages to make accemble one unit of e-bike, all from scraps and parts. Of course I was proud of myself for accomplishin such feat, but the muscle cramps and the eye sore that I felt afterwards was not joke, it was making me think twice of doing it again. In making an E-bke unit followns a system of steps. By repeatedly doing d=this again and again, I hae grown familiar with the steps that I didnt even have to consult my father on what to do next. Well I still need to make him check work especially in making the frames of the E bike.
This picture was taken when I was done with welding the pipes in plase to be checked by my father if it was proportional. If nothing is to e adjusted I can directly proceed fully welding it in place. After fnishing with welding, in the following day I made the passenger seats and the back rest, as well as the floor of the e-bike.
Tadaaaaaa! This is what I made... Of course I'll be showing you guys the process thin making the backrest of the e-bike. Looks cool, right?😎
The first step in making it, is of course, taking the measurements of the dimentions of the backrest. I used to have a measurement template for this when I was making bulks of these backrests but it was quite a long time a go so it was lost...
The second step is to cut and shape:
The custom barbell plates are very useful now haahaha
And the third and final step in making the backrest of the e-bike passenger seat if to add the foam and wrap it. The materials that I used here are scissors, wood glue, some bubble wraps that was from the wraps in our online parcel orders, a gun tacker and water to stay hydrated.
The small knife you see there is actually custom made by me, it is made from a blade from an iron hand saw. I made it specifically for cutting the foam. It's really sharp.
And there you go it is done. My father have to do some comfort check thought hahaha. It passed he said hahaa. After this I stoped working cause I was already fatigued and needed some rest, I was suppost to paint and wrap the covers on it the following day but it was Good Friday so I decided to rest.
Fast forward to saturday, where I was told its now fine to continue working with the e-bike, I proceeded with painting and wraping the covers of the e-bike. I was basically on this for the entire day, from painting the frame to securely attaching the seats, and wrapping the entire fram of the e-bike, it really took me a whole day. Well, it is what it is. I was happy with it though, tired but happy.
After a three day long grind (which felt like a whole week, by the way) in making one unit by myself, I was basically done with what I intended to do. Hand are sore, with cuts, brusses and blisters, fanially its done and I can rest now.
