Greetings to everyone. More than two months after the devastation of Hurricane Odette. What we have been through in recent months has not been easy. Not knowing who to side with because everything will be ruined. Many houses were destroyed and one was my brother's house. They temporarily lived in our mother’s house and sometimes here with us. And I believe the saying goes “after the darkness there is a light” and “there's a rainbow after the rain” and it is true. Because someone actually sending a help from people with a kind heart. And now we are happy to share and show off the financial donations made by people who care about the destruction of our homes. And we didn't just receive financial aid, we also provided coconut trees, galvanized iron and nails. We collected every help we received from friends, relatives and the government. And now my brother's house that was destroyed by the typhoon has been built.
A few weeks of waiting for the chainsaw and finally arrived as well. They cut the coconut tree into a good lumber which is what is needed for the house to be built.
After how many days and more than weeks of working the carpenters gradually formed the house.
The house already form after two weeks of working.
Woods that were durable in the destroyed house were also used to easily finish the house. It's like this door and floor in their old house and they just added a new one.
And the walls of the house are some old and some are new. And the other wood used was the wood in their former house that was destroyed. They also used nails that can still be used.
Their kitchen is made entirely of old wood, the wall is old, the wood is old and the galvanized iron is also old and well -made and durable.
Finally near the end of the house the wall was complete, the floor was complete, the roof was also complete what was missing was the wall clamp.
And finally the house is finished as well.
We helped clean up the whole area. The clutter we put to the side. We covered the good lumber with galvanized iron to keep it from getting wet in the rain.
They are currently living in their new home. I always mention it to everyone who extended their help whether it was small or large amount and to the messages that inspired and served as a guide to rise again. Thank you very much to all of you.
And thank you for reading my post and I'm glad and appreciate it.
