Plastic pollution is a significant global issue. Our soils are becoming plastic soils, our oceans are becoming plastic oceans, and we are creating a plastic planet. It is happening rapidly, but we are contributing to fixing the plastic problem at The Greens. We believe we can restore the land, clean the air and oceans, and that plastic creativity and innovation can significantly contribute to #BeatPlasticPollution.
Some of our innovative ideas to reduce plastic pollution include upcycling plastic bottles into UPB Vertical Gardens and UPB Tree Nursery Pots, and recycling plastic bottles into pellets using the PP-PB Plastic Shredder. We're also educating young people in schools and communities using our Plastic Education and Recycling Toolkit (PEART). Our initiatives create educational, employment, and economic opportunities for young people while tackling the plastic problem.
You can learn more about our plastic initiatives via our Plastic Bottles Recycling and Education Project (PB-REP) fundraiser on GoFundMe: https://www.gofundme.com/f/bottlestobooksproject
Together, we can #BeatPlasticPollution.
