Corn always provides flavor in every dish, its distinctive aroma and taste, making it one of the superior ingredients to be processed into any food. After a week of avoiding foods that I could be allergic to, due to my swollen eyes suddenly a few days ago. And I was asked by the doctor to avoid some foods that made my eyes very inflamed and itchy. I have to choose once in eating several foods, one of which is corn or other beans. You know?, the corn harvest season is very abundant right now I had to resist eating corn yesterday, but after it started to heal and the inflammation stopped, I can't wait to process corn into a delicious dish for my daily life.
Pearl Sago Corn Porridge
Processing corn into porridge is my choice this time, when the body wants warm food in the morning then porridge is one of the right foods in my opinion.
I don't just use corn, but combining corn with pearl sago is an interesting one in my opinion. Besides having a very beautiful color, pearl sago also provides many benefits for the body, one of which is maintaining a healthy stomach and making you feel a balanced satisfaction like eating rice.
Ingredient Used
The ingredients are easy to find, absolutely will not make you miss this dish. With only 2 main ingredients and several other supporting materials that are cheap and easy. Here are some ingredients that need to be prepared to cook pearl sago grits.
- 1 cob of sweet corn
- 1 cup pearl sago
- 1 liter of fresh thick coconut milk
- 1 pandan leaf
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- teaspoon vanilla powder
Now after preparing some of the necessary ingredients, let's start preparing to cook the porridge. Before cooking, don't forget to wash your hands and drink water, so you can enjoy cooking while cooking.
Cooking Preparation
- First boil the water until it boils, then add the pearl sago grains, boil until the sago expands.
- Then comb the corn from the cob, wash it thoroughly, then add it to the sago stew, boil both until cooked.
- Then add pandan leaves, tie pandan leaves or cut according to your taste, then add salt.
- Next, after the corn and sago begin to cook, add the coconut milk to the stew, adding slowly until it runs out. Then stir evenly.
- Then add the sugar and vanilla powder, stir until the porridge is cooked, until the porridge boils. And ready to serve.
Result
Serve in your favorite bowl, enjoy while warm, because you will find a different sensation. The smell of corn really can't be fooled, it smells very strong, I really like this combination of aromas, the aroma of pandan leaves, corn and vanilla is very exciting. Moreover, eating this dish when the body is not healthy, finding suitable food is difficult. But I think the porridge is very different, it suits my tongue so well, slightly sweet with a touch of saltiness that will create a completely different combination of flavors.
