Colorfull sweet potato dessert is very delicious tasted: Chewy, savory, and sweet. the coconut milk liquid and the sweet, savory, fragrant pandan.
Sunday is the perfect time to explore the hobby of cooking in the kitchen. Especially with the condition of COVID-19 in Taiwan which is not good. Exploring the hobby of cooking, is one way to relieve stress, because I couldn't go anywhere.
Yummy Steamed sweet potato
A few days ago, grandma's children came to read Sweet potato, so it was sparked to make a colorful sweet potato dessert, which can be enjoyed in the afternoon. Moreover, the weather is a little cold, because of the rainy season. As for the other ingredients, I already have them.
Let's follow my journey in the kitchen!!!
Ingredients that we need are:
• 250 grams of orange sweet potato (weight after steaming)
• 100 grams of tapioca
• 2 pandan leaves
• 1000 ml of water
• 4 tablespoons of rice flour, dilute the water
• 1 teaspoon pandan paste (Green color)
• 1 teaspoon pineapple paste (Yellow color)
• 1 teaspoon strawberry paste (red color)
Step Make Sweet Potato balls:
Step 1: Smash steamed sweet potato until soft
Step 2: Mix with tapioca flour until became a dough
Step 3: Coloring a sought with pandan color, yellow and red color
Step 4: Boiled them until floud up around 5-7 minutes
Step 5: Lift and drain them
Coconut milk
• 400 ml medium thin coconut milk
• 1 pandan leaf
• A pinch of vanilla
• A pinch of salt
Steps to Cook Balls
• Steamed orange sweet potato, while hot puree. Add salt and tapioca until soft.
• Divide the dough into 3. To be colored green, red and yellow
• Shape the dough into rounds like marbles. Don't be too big, it will be difficult to cook
• Boil 1000 ml of water
• Boil the dough together. Wait until it floats
• Lift the colorful balls and set them aside.\
Step 1: Boiled coconut milk and add pandan leave
Step 2: add palm sugar and stir
Step 3: Add corner flour and vanili
Steps to cook coconut milk (Dessert Liquid)
• Cook 200 ml coconut milk UHT
• Enter palm sugar according to taste
• Add pandan leaves
• Add salt and vanilla to taste
• Add coconut milk
• Enter the rice flour dough
• Stir until it forms bubbles
• Turn off the stove
