Combining menu with the existing ones, and see how it will surprise you.
How do you create new menus from food ingredients that are just the things you eat often? To be honest, is arguably a tough task. That's why sometimes being a parent who cooks for her children will have a confusing choice every day.
Or even, we are often confused to make what dishes. Moreover, we only have limited food ingredients.
Combine the type of food that has been tasted
We can start to dare to combine something that we have created before. Starting with a little portion so that if it feels not suitable for our taste, we don't waste too much.
But in my experience, I never left my new creation. I am grateful for my family, especially my small nephews, they like the creations of new menus that I made. They were in charge of spending the food I made.
If you want to try something that has never been eaten, it's best for single dishes, not a solution to minimize strangeness in it. Because your tongue isn't used to it.
Combine a variety of textures
The important thing should we note if you want to make a new menu from the combination of comfort Food food, is about texture. It will be fun if in one plate we have various textures to enrich the taste in the overall sense of the dish.
More nutrients from various dishes
If we can deliver colorful food with a fusion of suitable tastes, it's very good. We can create more nutrients compared to foods with the same color tone.
Roasted Pumpkin with Spinach Soup
Roasted Pumpkin often serves breakfast or for dinner. It's just that I often mix with different side dishes.
This time I tried to be creative with something I had never combined before. I use Spinach Soup.
For spinach soup, I cook a mixture of Pumpkin Puree and Coconut Milk with Simple Seasoning.
For Roasted Pumpkin, let's see how this time I prepared it.
First of all, cut into pieces of pumpkin as you wish. You can cut pumpkins like fries, or cubes.
Because I want to mix with the soup texture, so I deliberately cut Pumpkin in large sizes. This so looks like a piece of papaya fruit at a glance.
Then, make seasoning. Here I use Ground Cinnamon and Olive Oil. I use a 1: 3 ratio. 1 tablespoon for Ground Cinnamon, and 3 tablespoons for Olive Oil.
After seasoning is ready, apply evenly to Pumpkin. Or, let it marinate for a few minutes.
Then, Roast Pumpkin for 30-40 minutes or to tender and juicy, according to the state of your oven. In mid-time cooking, don't forget to flip the pieces of Pumpkin to cook evenly.
Well, I really like activities when removing Roasted Pumpkin from the oven! The fragrant .... Heavenly.
Presentation
I did not immediately put Roasted Pumpkin above Spinach Soup. First, I sprinkled Sesame Seeds on Roasted Pumpkin.
This method is intentional to try something new to me. :) I'll tell you about the taste later.
After being sprinkled with Sesame Seeds, then I put Roasted Pumpkin above a little spinach soup. Well, I don't use more spinach soup portions. Because the highlight on this menu is Roasted Pumpkin itself, not Pumpkin Soup.
You can try with other Green Leaf Soup such as Asparagus Soup or Broccoli Soup. For complementary, I use little oranges and Longan fruit.
What about the taste?
To be honest, this is good! I am serious. But, in my opinion, it's better without Sesame Seeds. I prefer Natural Simple Roasted Pumpkin, Just Roasted Pumpkin Without Additional Sesame Seeds. Although actually, Sesame Seeds also did not make a bad taste.
So adjust to each taste. With Sesame Seeds or Not, it can be another alternative to your dishes worth trying.
Don't forget to give your opinion about my recipe variation this time. I hope you have a good time out there, even though I know the fact, life is often sucks. Trying to be grateful and stay alive is the best :)
I hope you can find what you deserve to find today. Have a great day, good people, HIVE Lovers!
