Hello Everyone.
The development of an increasingly modern world civilization means that construction styles also change. The old glory style was sometimes very unique and beautiful, but today it is different. Today, the style of construction is becoming more sophisticated thanks to the advancement of human knowledge so that it can create beauty in each building and is easier to work with. If we look from the point of view of the current building style, sometimes we can find ornaments and even the shape of the building is the result of a combination of classical and modernist architects. In reality, modern architects are the result of the development of the past.
Now I want to take you to a building that is currently under construction. This building is a mosque. Here the majority are Muslims, so do not hesitate to come because we appreciate very much every guest who comes. So, this mosque started to be built in 2010 till now the building has not been completed and now it is planned to build four towers. I think it took 12 years to build the mosque and that is not a short time.
We mentioned Masjid Batu Giok or Masjid Agung Baitul A'la Nagan Raya. if you look at it from the outside, this building is very simple but different when you enter the building space. In the space of this mosque, we can see the style of the building is very beautiful and the mixture of natural stone makes it very fresh. The floor and the pillars of the building are made of natural stone, specifically jade. The natural stone used to cover the floor and walls is a type of nephrite and serpentine stone. This natural stone is high grade and very hard with a scale of up to 7 Mohs. The arrangement of jade ceramics on the walls attracts all visitors because the color combination of turquoise, light blue, green, brown and black looks very natural.
The building has two floors, but currently, the upper floor is not working, so I cannot take photos from the upper floor. I only took photos inside the mosque hall and outside the building. Inside this building, there is a pulpit, which is a place for sermons for certain activities, but it is used a lot on Fridays when worship is held. This pulpit is made of wood with beautiful carvings and painted in brown color.
In the middle, if you look up, you will find a very interesting ornament on the dome of the mosque. In the walls of the dome, there is a small window to let in sunlight so that the interior is illuminated by natural light.
On each pole, a lamp is installed that serves to illuminate the room so that it gives a very modern and beautiful impression. and at the end of the pole connected to the top floor there is also a star-like pattern.
This is the staircase that is connected to the upper floor but currently, on the upper floor, it has not been used because the interior of the room has not been completed yet so we cannot go upstairs.
Building style Construction from the Outside.
if you look at it from the outside of this building, of course, this mosque is not in a typical middle eastern style and the exterior decoration looks simple, with white paint on all the walls and looks like stairs and ventilation shafts that are carefully arranged. It looks very beautiful even though it is currently still under construction. However, the beauty and uniqueness of this mosque will be an attraction for local and foreign tourists. This mosque has an area of 75 meters x 47.5 meters and is located in Lueng Baro, Kec. Suka Makmue, Nagan Raya Regency, Aceh 23671.
