I remember it all started when I was 8, my dad was a busy man and my siblings and I were always left alone at home with our neighbor until dad returns. I was smart, at least that was what I was told and I guess that was how I got so quick at learning things around me except of course academic related things. My neighbor was a young lady who was really talented at hair making and I was close to her. She saw my enthusiasm to learning how she makes people hair and that was how my hair making journey started.
Well, prior to now, I already have a little knowledge of hair making so I tried to prove that to her and since then, she never hesitated to take me along with her on weekends to assist her in making some of her client's hair and that was how I started getting a name for myself as an hairstylist. So many people around me doubted the fact that I was an hairstylist because of how young I was until they give me the benefit of the doubt to show them what I'm made of.
Almost all the time, I proved them wrong and that was how I started making money with my skill. I can't say I didn't learn it but then it was more of a gift than a skill learnt. Having this ability has been really so helpful to me and my family especially my sister because she hardly ever spend money in making her hair do except when I'm not around her. And thanks to her, I was able to master so many hair styles that I came across.
It wouldn't have been an easy journey if I did not have my sister because the fact that I make her hair was just the quickest way to tell people of what I can do. I always made sure to renew my sister's hair whenever it gets old so I can keep up with the ever growing world, then but somehow, I've lost interest in making hair do for others because it has become more of a struggle to keep up and that's because it takes my time and it doesn't give me what it's worth.
I know that it's not all about the money and that's why I've chosen to just keep making hair for just my sister and some friends and keep learning until I find the right clients that are willing to pay for what my handwork is worth. So many people now already know the importance of having a skill and now there are so many people venturing into learning how to make hair and that's because it's something that people will always have need for.
If there is any one that is ever willing to learn how to make hair, I'm surely willing to teach because I know it's something that can be beneficial to them in a long run. I know the people I've been able to meet thanks to my skill of knowing how to make hair and the best part was, I'm really good at making children's hair and that made so many parents patronize me and that gave me a lot of other experiences too on how to deal with children even more.
So if anyone is ready to Learn, I'm more than ready to teach because for one, I never paid to learn this skill from anyone, it's a blessing that I'm forever grateful for and sharing it with someone who is ready to learn will be a pleasure and honor.
