I wanted to share with you my Freestyle Collage No. 114. My theme is animals and fowl that forage after dark.
The LMAC Community run by @shaka holds a weekly collage contest for its members. In the Community, you'll discover a variety of themed entries submitted for consideration. If selected for the final round, contest hopefuls anxiously await results indicating their placement that determines the prize awarded. It's a fun contest that any Hive member can participate. If you'd like to join in, just visit the LMAC Community account here and follow the rules of the contest for details on the latest round.
The LMAC Community also offers an opportunity for members to create and post in the Community "freestyle" collage themes. In the freestyle option, more freedom is allowed to design your creations without having to incorporate the weekly contest photo. However, contest rules still apply.
Please visit the Community page for any questions on how to successfully publish in the LMAC Community.
Night foragers. Known as being "nocturnal", around seventy percent of mammals are attracted to the night. These animals possess heightened senses that allow them to not only survive, but thrive in the darkness.
After dark is a way of life for nocturnal predators as well as prey. Hoping to avoid detection, both have adapted to this way of life and have evolved to become skilled at their craft. Also avoiding the daytime competition for resources such as food and water may be alleviated.
While nighttime is for the animals who depend upon the cover of darkness, it's best that humans avoid activities during this period if possible to prevent injury or death.
In preparing my theme, I decided to utilize the theme of a human interacting with a fowl at night. I then surrounded her with elements common to the dark in a wooded area. I had already decided to add a magical touch to the dark scene with my fractal and the lady with the colorful eye.

I then utilized Canva to blend the different images. Below are my steps. I began with a blank, white canvas, then added layers of elements, removing backgrounds, resizing, and repositioning items as needed that incorporate the tools at my disposal per my Annual Pro Membership Subscription.
