Hello everyone, I am thrilled to showcase my artwork with all of you. It features a spontaneous portrait of a young man wearing a hat, gazing in a specific direction with a slightly stern expression.
I admire the shading technique used in this artwork. I observed that the left side of the face is darker than the right side, suggesting that the young man is facing towards the light source. I interpret this as a representation of the Beauty Of Knowledge, where the lighter shading symbolises exposure to knowledge and the young man's attractiveness reflects the impact that knowledge can have on individuals.
The shading method utilized in this piece is known as blending, achieved through the use of graphite and charcoal pencils on pelican. I am interested in hearing your perspective on the artwork and its significance.
