Good morning everyone,
I'm excited to share my recent painting with us. This painting is quite different from what you've been used to seeing me do. My painting style goes from traditional biro and pencil drawing to digital painting and scribbling but part of my goals this year is to learn and sharpen my traditional painting skills with oil or acrylic. Last year, I got some oil paints and attempted a piece but it wasn't as lovely as I wanted it to be and due to some circumstances I abandoned the painting. Last week, I decided to pick my oils back, got a canvas sketchbook and I was able to create this piece which is a lot better than the first I attempted to create. It's so nice to see what one is able to create with one's hands. In as much as I don't usually appreciate my paintings, I actually love this one. It connects well with me.
It's a painting of a young lady looking deep into your soul. That is what I'm trying to capture and part of the comment I received from one of my friends is her gaze. He said its like she's looking deep into him. With that comment, I think I was able to achieve what I wanted to achieve.
