Hello dear friends, I hope you are very well, this week I had the opportunity to rewatch the first Iron Man movie that was released many years ago, in 2008, it is a very good movie that worked super well and was the beginning of a great movie saga. However, I think that the quality of the stories was in frank decline, this movie was really something great, and seeing how Tony Stark created the armors, the Mark II caught my attention, the first prototype that I use, I have made a drawing based on this armor because I liked the chrome color it had, it was impressive. The drawing is made with prismacolor pencils and a gray cardboard background, I hope you like it.
Hola queridos amigos, espero que se encuentren muy bien, esta semana tuve la oportunidad de volver a ver la primera película de Iron Man que se estrenó ya hace muchos años, en 2008, es una película muy buena que funcionó súper bien y que fue el inicio de una gran saga de películas. Sin embargo pienso que la calidad de las historias fueron en franca decadencia, esta película realmente fue algo genial, y viendo como Tony Stark creaba las armaduras me llamó la atención la Mark II, el primer prototipo que utilizo, he realizado un dibujo basándome en esta armadura porque me gustó el color cromo que poseía, era impresionante. El dibujo está realizado con lápices de color prismacolor y como fondo una cartulina gris, espero que les guste.

I made the sketch with a 2H graphite pencil, it has a very hard tip and therefore the line is very soft to be able to erase. I made the entire shape of the helmet and part of the neck, I used a 2B pencil that is softer but the line is darker for those parts where lines on the suit represent the divisions of the metal assembly, such as on the sides of the helmet , as well as part of the neck and shoulders.
Elaboré el boceto con un lápiz de grafito 2H, este tiene una punta muy dura y por consiguiente el trazo queda muy suave para poder borrar. Hice toda la forma del casco y parte del cuello, utilicé lápiz 2B que es mas suave pero el trazo es más oscuros para aquellas partes donde van líneas en el traje que representan las divisiones del ensamblaje de metal, como por ejemplo en los costados del cascos, así como también parte del cuello y los hombros.

After making the sketch without changes I started to paint, although I am using a gray surface, I used a dark gray color as a base to be able to differentiate it and thus make the light reflections on the metal look better and more intense. I also used a navy blue color as a complementary color to the dark grey, as you can see, when the light reflects off the chrome metal, if it is inside a room, it usually gives a bluish tone, so using this color I can achieve that impression on the drawing.
Después de hacer el boceto sin cambios comencé a pintar, aunque estoy usando una superficie de color gris, utilicé como base un color gris oscuro para poder diferenciarlo y de eso modo hacer que los reflejos de luz sobre el metal se vean mejor y más intensos. También utilicé como color complementario al gris oscuro, un color azul marino, como pueden observar, la luz cuando se refleja en el metal cromado, si está dentro de una habitación, suele dar un tono azulado, entonces utilizando este color puedo lograr esa impresión sobre el dibujo.

Next I begin to paint the part of the eyes of the helmet, these are white since Iron Man's helmet has lights in the visors, to paint it I use the white color of charcoal that is stronger and more intense to make the reflections of light . In this way I am also making other illuminated parts such as the edges of the mask that protects the face.
Seguidamente comienzo a pintar la parte de los ojos del casco, estos van de color blanco ya que el casco de Iron Man tiene luces en los visores, para pintarlo utilizo el color blanco de carboncillo que es más fuerte e intenso para hacer los reflejos de luz. Así tambiíen voy haciendo otras partes iluminadas como los bordes de la máscara que protege el rostro.

Then I continue painting the entire mask using dark colors and mixing the navy blue color between them so as not to lose the bluish tone of the metal. In the same way I am adding the reflections of light on the metal with the white color, in this way you can see how the helmet turned out.
Despues continuo pintando toda la mascara utilizando colores oscuros y mezclando entre ellos el color azul marino para no perder el tono azulado del metal. De la misma forma voy agregando los reflejos de luz sobre el metal con el color blanco, de esta manera puede verse como quedó el casco.

The next step was to paint the entire part of the neck and shoulders, using the same technique that was used on the helmet, I paint all the areas using dark gray mixed with navy blue, in some parts I use white to blend and so on. I get another tonality. It is important to play with contrasts, we can go from the lightest to the darkest, or vice versa. I refine the details of the shadows with black, especially in the divisions of the armor and thus I finish the drawing.
El siguiente paso fue pintar toda la parte del cuello y los hombros, utlizando la misma técnica que fue usada en el casco voy pintando todas las zonas utilizando color gris oscuro mezclado con color azul marino, en algunas partes utilizo el color blanco para mezclar y así logro otra tonalidad. Es importante jugar con los contraste, podemos ir desde lo más claro hasta lo más oscuro, o también al contrario. Afino los detalles de las sombras con color negro, especialmente en las divisiones de la armadura y así doy por finalizado el dibujo.
This is how the drawing of the Iron Man Mark II armor was left, then Tony Stark made some modifications to it, including the red and gold colors. This armor was transformed into what is known as the War Machine and over time it underwent transformations. But since it's from that old movie, I remember it very well, especially the special effects from that time, I think they've aged well. I hope you liked this drawing, I tried to make it very realistic, although I need a lot of practice to master hyperrealism, I did my best to show my drawing technique. Así quedó el dibujo de la armadura de Iron Man MArk II, luego Tony Stark le hizo unas modificaciones incluyendo los colores rojo y dorado. Esta armadura fue transformada en la conocida como War Machine y con el pasar del tiempo fue sufriendo transformaciones. Pero como es de aquella vieja película, la recuerdo muy bien, especialmente los efectos especiales de aquella época, pienso que han envejecido bien. Espero que les haya gustado este dibujo, trate de hacerlo bien realista, aunque me falta mucha práctica para dominar el hiperrealismo hice mi mejor esfuerzo para mostrar mi técnica de dibujo. Me despido hasta una nueva oportunidad.
