Hello, Dear Hivers! | Hola, Queridos Hivers!
This last weekend I helped with the scenography for Arte y Opera's Disney event, and it was a friendly experience where I had the chance to share a bit more with the other members of the group, and do something I really love: to paint.
It was a normal Sunday morning... I had no credit on my phone, nor energy to do anything that wasn't laying on my bed. It was all good, until I remembered, while I was having breakfast, that the teacher @danieldedosd2 said that that day they were going to keep working on the stage curtains.
When I told my mom, she offered to go with me to help. That offer was music to my ears! That was very kind of her, and besides, I didn't want to go alone, so for me it was destiny upholding a busy Sunday.
When we arrived, we found the experts making the drawing on the fabric. In the little sketch, it was something like the hall of an Arabian palace. It looked super cool. The acuarela techniques they used to make the sketch was just impressive!
When the first part of the fabric's sketch was done, we started to paint. The man who had made the first sketch was a little worried that we messed it up, and I totally understood him. It is very hard to leave an art piece of yours in other people's hands.
But thankfully we did a good job, and the man was satisfied with the result!
It was a little tiresome to stay all the morning and part of the afternoon on the floor painting.
There was a time where we took turns. Since there were not enough brushes, we gave ours to someone else for some time while we rested, and then that person gave it back and they tested.
Even though it was something huge, working as a team made the work easier, and when it was time for me and my mom to leave, it was almost done... Well, some details were missing, of course, but the foundation was almost done, and that's a lot! (In my humble opinion lol)
It was a fun Sunday, and I'm glad we went and helped!
