Who’s the greatest weekend activist? Me!! Left for me weekends are supposed to be super long, why do we have to work for 5 days and barely rest for two days? If I am made the “world president” I will extend our weekends.
I woke up like every normal day but since it’s a Saturday waking me up before 9 am is an offense and is punishable by law, how do I wake up Monday to Friday by 5 am for work and you dare wake me up early for the two days I have all to myself?
So few hours before I made this post I had to do my laundry, today was the only day I was able to do it because I had enough time, unlike other days of the week when I have to rush off to work, so I did my laundry and general clean up.
I later jumped straight to Hive to reply to comments on my posts and engage before getting ready to go for my friend's baby’s naming ceremony.
My friend Precious just gave birth 8 days ago and like she said “IB I went to hell and came back”, so since my friend is back to earth again I had to go welcome her and her baby and I had to go with a gift, it is believed that going to visit a newborn baby with a gift attracts blessings, so home girl wants a truckload of those blessings, so I went for the naming ceremony.
I was greeted with a lot of familiar faces, my friend went on and on about her delivery experience and trust my mind to replicate every scene in anticipation of when I’d embark on such a journey too.
So the baby was named Roy, such a cute name for a cute baby, we took pictures with baby Roy and family.
I came back from the event to my house exhausted but happy.
Saturday nights are usually my movie nights so I had to watch some of the movies I downloaded on Netflix during the week that I haven’t had time to watch and part of my tradition is being in the most comfortable cloth, turning off all the lights to create the ‘cinema effect’, having two or three snacks to munch over while I watch the movies, at this point no one in the universe matters except me.
Tomorrow is Sunday, I will be going to church and once I come back I will be attending a church program with a friend, the program is titled “Ladies on High Heels” The first time I heard the name I chuckled as well as you did and that was what made me go for their first edition, the shock I got when I went and I saw no one but me on heels, I did give my friend an earful for not properly enlightening me about the program. The program is all about relationship matters, ladies ask pertinent questions about relationships, some funny, some crude, and some really annoying. So I will be going for the second edition to have fun.
So once I get back I will try to cook and prepare all the dresses I would wear for work next week and trust me this could take hours, thinking of what to wear seems to be one of the hardest things to do for me except I have a new dress though😃
So basically this is how I have spent a part of my weekend and intend to spend the remaining part.
