[Week 131] My Collectibles

in #hive-1688692 years ago

Hello and welcome to another weekend engagement where we have exciting concepts to choose from and write about.

Do you collect anything and if so what is it, why and when did you begin the collection?

Growing up I always loved watching do it yourself (DIY) videos so I have always had the urge to collect things I feel will serve other purpose, most of the items I have collected I just store them in a basket because I have not found the best use for them but I just know sooner or later I would need them. I do not have specific things I collect.

I began collecting a few years ago, I do not remember what year specifically but it has been a hobby of mine.

Introducing my collections

I collect and keep wedding invitation cards mostly because I’d like to get card design inspirations from now for my big day. And also because I could re use some part of the card depending on the design to beautify a book.

The above image used to be a cotton bud cleaner which I got from my sister and after the initial content was all used up, I found another use for it. Now it stores a few sewing instruments(needles and thread).

This is a box I made out of cartons I collected from my home. I think it was a carton of noodles and now I store my ruler, pencil and a few other things.

These are glitter beads I collected from my mum’s spoilt purse she was going to throw away. I kept them to use on a DIY project I plan on doing.

Color me perfumes comes in a glass box which I collected and put to good use for storing my crayons and one I use to put cash to reward myself when I complete a task.

This is my basket I used to store items I collect and yes I also collected the basket, it was a hamper basket of goodies my big sister brought as a gift to my dad one Christmas ago. After the goodies where eaten up by us all I decided to use it for something else. Inside of the basket is few items in my collection that intend to use soon.

The above is a picture collage my younger brother made in a class art project. He gave me this to keep for him whenever he wants to look at it and go down memory lane. Because the young lad that made this in primary school is now a university kid.

Thank you so much @galenkp for this wonderful contest. This particular topic made me go through all my collectibles.
