gm everybody! I hope you're having a beautiful Monday
I wasn't able to submit this post in time for the weekend engagement invitation, but I still wanted to share what I did over the weekend because I thought it was quite productive.
As is the case with many, Monday through Friday is usually packed with planning, administrative tasks, phone calls, sales meetings, and sessions with clients. This week was no different.
Clients don't usually book the studio on Friday, so I try to go home early whenever I can. It gives me time to unwind and prepare for the #weekend
I started my weekend activities nice and early. Went to the Crossfit gym in my neighborhood for a 1 hour workout with @pamarias. Right after that we headed to the hardware store to get some supplies because we had planned to to some painting in the studio. The hardware store has a home decorating section, so of course we used the trip to get a lazy Susan and a spice rack.
The Mrs. took everything out of the spice cupboard...
wiped it down a little bit
and voilà!
Next order of business was the podcast room in our recording studio. As you can see it was looking a little plain.
The idea is to make it look alive!
This is one of the areas we rent out to podcasters and content creators to record in.
We were inspired by Dot Lung's Instagram Strategy for Business Growth Domestika course set which you can see here. Lots of bright colors and props.
This is what we're going for.
So we got suited up and got to work
We got the first coat on Saturday and second coat on Sunday.
This is what it looks like this morning.
We might have to do some very small detail work and I still have to decorate the set a bit more, but it's definitely looking nicer :)
I did a light and color test to see if I'm satisfied with the progress we made and I think I'm feeling good about it.
All I have to do now is get some more props and fine tune the decor.
Oh yes, I was planning on organizing the equipment closet, but I'm afraid that's going to be for some other weekend 😄
I wasn't able to find the energy for this one.
