Genius Construction Marketing

There's some major redevelopment work going on the main building in my local park, which is really the old Castle Grounds (sans Castle anymore).

It's being turned into a community hub, and has been sealed off since shortly after I got back to Hereford three months ago now, with work moving forwards swiftly.

If the construction company is half as good at building as they are at marketing, they'll do a great job....

When you go into the park you're now greeted by this site:

These nice attractive screens displaying the company name, with all their social media details on display too.

I mean this isn't new for builders - I've seen countless driveways with placards advertising who did it, but the design of this another level!

They're so good, they've even got special direction signs, with their logos, which they put up to direct delivery lorries into the park, effectively getting their marketing several hundred metres away from where they're doing their building.

And they've got photos on display of the finished product...

Oh yeah, it's right on the river... it's going to be a nice building when it's finished, something a prestige development project I think, this one!

And they also put up 'in progress' pictures...

Which I guess increases interest, and is nice to see when I walk past every day!

Never missing a trick!

All of this is completely unnecessary, but impressive marketing and it's nice to see someone with the initiative to market the company in such an aesthetically appealing way, it's a win-win I think!

Assuming they can actually build and finish on time, of course!

Sort:

That's a community building? The picture looks like some fancy house on the river. Your community must be racking it in :D

Surprised they don't have a QR code that you can scan to check out a 360 degree interactive walkthrough of the community building when it's built.....

These companies are probably making big profits. As mentioned previously they are big lobbyists with the government to get their way. I tend to be a bit suspicious of their motives.

I think in this case it's all good - it's for a community hub, the existing building gets almost no use this will change that!

I don't like when they start a construction project in a greeny area.

I think this one is worth it, it's been crying out for redevelopment and it's a community thing!

If I understand you clearly, do you mean the picture of the building in that banner is what they want to construct
