I have officially started building my house that ill be living in once its done. Ever since I moved out from home Ive been living in a smaller house aprox. 50m2 that is on the same plot ill be building the new house on. That living space size is manageable but not ideal especially with kids.
The interesting thing about this house is that the cost of construction will be entirely funded from my crypto profits last 4 years.
Since I only ever invested a 1000 USD into crypto, all the funds basically originate from Steem and thus Hive, later reinvested into Splinterlands, CUBfinance, ETH, LEO and stuff like Solana, BNB, IOTA, various shortlived DEFIs.
Everything originated from Hive, which is why I call it a "Hive house."
Im considering adding a stone plaque on the entrance with the Hive logo and a few words. If ever happens to Hive what happened to Steem, I can always bash it with a sledgehammer lol.
A lot of the work, Ill be doing myself. Basically everything but the basement that will be poured concrete and the roof. The electrical work and waterworks. You never want to be doing electrical work yourself. That can end very badly.
Ive had experience working in construction when we were building the family apartments and thats going to save me a fair amount of money.
Material prices went up almost 50% in the last 2 years, especially construction metals so any money I can save is good.
Anyways, thats why I havent been active last few months. Dealing with paperwork, looking for workers, arranging construction phases, etc.
