Hello my friends of the hive, for nobody is a secret that there are always fights between siblings and in my house this is no exception, although they are innocent fights, so to speak, I always try to avoid them to avoid creating discord between my children.

I tell you that one of the most common fights is over toys, Matthias is 7 years old and Juan is 1 year and a half, although the age difference is big there are times when they feel attraction for the same toy and there begins the dispute, I try as much as possible to be fair and not have preference for any; fortunately Matthias is a very noble child and always tries to please his brother, but there are times when he does not see his game, I know he is right and I can not force him to give it to Juan because I would be spoiling him and creating resentment with Matthias.

One of Matthias' favorite games is to go out to the yard to play with his little wooden horse, but it is certain that Juan Andres starts to cry for it, I have not had the opportunity to buy him one because the Tintorero farm, where they make them, is far away from my city and due to gasoline problems we have not been able to go there; Tired of the disputes I decided to make a little horse for my son, it does not seem very difficult and luckily my father-in-law has a marquetry and glass shop where I went to look for possible materials, but they are simple and easy to find at home, so I invite you to see how I made it.

1 trozo de tela color marrón.
1 pedazo de manguera de mascarilla de respirar.
2 tornillos, Clavos, tachuelas, pega blanca.
1 pedazo de tripa de caucho
Martillo, tijera, segueta.

Fabrication:
First I set out to cut the piece of MDF in the shape of the horse's head, for which I drew with a knife the shape to cut, this being the most difficult part, because you must be very careful, this piece has some curves that are not easy to do, no matter if they are perfect, I tried to do the best I could.

Once I had the shape of the head, I glued the brown fabric on the upper part to simulate the fur, and cut one end into small strips to make it look like hair and look better.

Then I cut the hose to make the brake, and cut small squares of the rubber gut to place it with the tack and thus nail the hose avoiding that this can break easily.

Now the only thing missing is the eye, for which I made 2 small circles with the rubber gut and nailed them with tacks. The head of our horse is ready.

On the other hand to be able to run the horse, place in one of the ends of the brush stick the 2 circles, to which I made a hole in the center to screw.

At the other end cut the stick a little to insert it into the head piece, which I fixed with white glue and put 2 nails to prevent it from falling.

Happily I finished the horse for my little Juan Andrés, it was not perfect but I know that he will have a lot of fun with it and the disputes with Matthias will be over, now they can run around the yard and play together; I tell you that Matthias is very happy, he even named the horses, his is called Trueno and Juan's is called Rayo.
