My Kid's DIY Cellphone Holder Stand

in #hive-1657572 years ago

I have been thinking of a DIY project but the creative juices in my body have been scarce lately. I couldn't think of something to work on.

There are really times that I feel creative and all these ideas just come flowing fom my brain and there are those days that I experience a creative block and my brain will just focus on what's routinary.

But my kid is the opposite of my being lacking of creativity. She sees material and she'll just instantly know what she could do out of it.

So we got this bunch of cardboard pads used as part of the packaging of an item delivered from an online shop. Out of these cardboards, she made her own cellphone holder stand.

One of the things we share at home is a cellphone holder. We only have one. I thought of buying another one but since it's not a priority, it always slips through my mind.

My kid usually borrows that cellphone holder stand when she wanted to watch youtube videos but since she cannot always borrow it from me especially when I am also using it, the reason she came up with an idea of making her own DIY cellphone holder stand.

This is her DIY cellphone holder stand.

How did she came up with this project?

The materials she used are the following:

Recyclable cardboard

Scissors

Poster colors

  • She cuts the cardboard into her desired size.

  • She folds the cardboard into three parts. One side serves as the base, the other one as the support and the other side as the holder

  • She then made a slit on the center where she can insert the clip at the back of her cellphone case.

  • And to finish it, she painted it with poster colors

And tadaa... Again here is the final product she made. She won't have to borrow my cellphone holder stand because she made one for herself.

My Conclusion

We can not underestimate a child's capability. They learn more when they face real situations where they can use their creative minds to think and solve problems they encounter. In this case, the problem of not having a cellphone stand made her provide a solution by doing it herself with whatever materials are available she found at home.

And that's it for this blog. Thank you for reading.
