'To Do' lists are boring.
In this house, we call them Murder Lists... And I tell ya, I slaughtered today.
I did several loads of laundry to get started, changing them during breaks from my day job - one of the perks of working from home - and then got a knock on my door announcing a delivery!
This handy little tool is for breaking bike chains, and handily enough was delivered today - the first day of the last five where we haven't had rain literally morning to night.
Which meant I had a date with a rusty chain.
The tool is ingenious, and I feel bad that I forget what it's called because it was dirt cheap and does exactly what I hoped.
You just plop the chain on, wedge it into the slot by turning the back screw, and then pop the rivet out by turning the front crank.
And just like that, it's out. Easy as pie!
With that out of the way, I can get to painting the frame and replacing the tires before resetting a new chain. I'm hoping to get to that this weekend, as I took a break from bike repair to change a lightbulb that burnt out like... 3 months ago that's just a pain in the butt to get to and change.
And then made supper.
And capped off the night by having a fancy party in the kitchen with my 5yo and 3yo and my wife. All in all, a great day and plenty of tasks completed!
