After all of the struggles yesterday, this morning my husband went to the hardware store and bought a box of DeWalt drill bits that we needed to drill the holes in my boat trailer. He said we will have to put smaller bolts in it since we can not buy the right size bit to fit our drill for the bolts that came with the parts that I bought.
He was drilling the hole with one of the new bits and it broke throwing the broken piece into his leg. Stop here if you are squeamish. After the next picture, there are two pictures of his bloody leg.
You can see on the broken piece, how far it went into his leg.
When he pulled it out, the blood ran down his leg. I went to the house to get a clean washcloth, antibiotic salve, and a band-aid.
He put a new drill bit in and started drilling again. In no time at all he says, look at my leg. I thought he cut an artery but he said he did not, it is the blood thinners that he has to take.
After it took two days, we finally got the new springs put under my boat trailer.
When I saw that today's prompt was medal I googled Dewalt tools to see if they have won any medals. This year they won two awards, Best Cordless Drill Driver: DEWALT 20V MAX* 1/2-In. Brushless Cordless Hammer Drill/Driver with FLEXVOLT ADVANTAGE™ Technology (DCD999)

But they did not win anything for their drill bits and if they are breaking as this one did, I do not expect them to win any medals for them.
As we were working on the trailer, the dog started barking. She was on the outside of the gate. She has a place in the woods behind our house where she can get out of our yard. I have not been able to find where it is at. When she gets out all she does is come around to the front and want back in.
