My husband winche
This is my post for #freewriters Friday prompt Nobel prize hosted by @mariannewest
We had an old golf cart that I used to get around on our property, I loved it and used it every day but it broke down several years ago. A couple of days ago my husband cut it in half to make it easy to haul to the scrapyard.
Before he could haul it all off I wanted to use the roof as a sled to haul rocks back to the house, they are down our driveway. I tied it to the back of my truck. I got one load of them hauled back to the house, then as always, I had to quit my project to help him haul the rest of the golf cart off.
It happens all the time, as soon as I start to do something, he wants me to help him with something and by the time we are finished with his projects, my back is hurting too bad for me to finish mine. I think they should give me a Nobel prize for keeping my mouth shut.
This is the back half of the golf cart, we had a hard time getting it off of the trailer. My husband used the come-a-long to get it on it. We got 25 dollars for it. We did not have any good tires for the old trailer that we used but the scrapyard is not far from our house so we used it anyway. While there a friend of my husband saw the tires and said that he had one that would fit, he brought it to our house, so the second load had one tire with air in it.
The next load was the front half of the golf cart and some old bicycles that the palmetto berry pickers left here.
This time the guy was there using the excavator so we asked him to pick it up, I was glad he did it. We got 11 dollars and 50 cents for this load. It is nice having the scrapyard this close to us.
